VZW vs. Cingular
VZ is adding more customers then any other carrier, and their customers are spending more money while holding down their churn.
Whats wrong with Cingular? They offer early nights, they claim to have "fewest dropped calls" more coverage (worldwide because of GSM), and they have more customers then their competitors?

Plus their phones are over priced... I purchased the "Chocolate" for 149.99 after rebate, it offers like 64MB of internal memory and expandable with memory card, 1.3 mega pixel camera, EVDO, touch sensitive keys, with optional VZ navigator option... they are still pushing the RAZR for about the same price without all of those options. âšī¸
Cingular just completed their major merger 2 years ago. They have large capital expenditures that need to be made to make them a complete carrier. They are ahead of schedule when compared to the initial plans a the time of the merger.
Verizon's merger was YEARS ago. They are more of an 'adult' carrier so to speak. They have their major capital expenditures behind them and can now reap the benefits of their work while keeping their network updated.
If you ask me, Cingular has done an amazing job holding on to the #1 spot this long.
