What is Churn?
Can someone please tell me? Thanks!
...
Churn is is the percentage that people leave or do not upgrade versus how many come in.
The higher the churn rate the more people are leaving than they are activating.
Hope that helps.
...
Non-upgraders are not considered churn.
...
Anyone that doesn't renew their service is considered churn, non-upgraders or not, unless vzw recognizes churn differently than we do.
...
so you are saying month-to-month customers are churn?
...
Really, churn is a ratio of cancels versus adds and net customers. The lower the churn, less customers are leaving, the higher the churn, more customers are cancelling and leaving...
...
Right, and leaving can be for any reason, renewal or not.
...
You are correct BUT if a person has fulfilled their contract already and do not renew but stay month-to-month they do not contribute to churn. The real factor in churn is disconnects...
...
That is true, if they go month to month, then it's not churn. Revenue recognition is just different in that case, but it's definitely not churn

wow...you and I were thinking alike...that is scary...LOL
