Why doesn't verizon offer cool phones like the blade? I know the battery is weak but if you get the extended battery my friend says it lasts for 4 days with heavy use. It seems as if verizon phones don't have good graphics/resolution.....could that be because the UI takes up 1/3 of the screen? Just some thoughts....
...
What does the BLADE have that you cant find on a KRZR or LG 8600? Its the same thin form factor and pretty much all the same features, if not more... The BLADE is OLD!!
Actually, there are many other VZW phones with the same features or better....

no commie UI

i think it looks a lot better because of the graphics and resolution on the screen AND it has a huge screen.....just my opinion....it may have been out for a year but so hasen't the razr....and the blade is a lot better than the razr when it comes to being well built and the graphics
...
The Blade, in my opinion would be the best thin phone on the market, if Sprint hadn't chosen to cripple the phone by not adding the sd slot as offered by Samsung. But the form factor is far superior to the razor and the krazor as they still have that ugly protruding lip. As Verizon74 pointed the screen resolution is incredible and perfect for viewing the web. However I have to admit, and it hurts since I have service through Sprint, that Verizon has far better phone choices. So it cracks me up to hear you Verizon folks complaining about Verizon not having good phones.
...
he is not a verizon person. For the last few days he has jumped from forum to forum posting things to start trouble. I had the blade and hated it. The battery life sucked and the extended battery as all is allot bigger and then it is no longer slim! And no sd slot. The one good feature was picture mail. It automatically downloaded it so instead of just getting you have new picture mail and a link to it you got the pic right away!
...
just because i point out problems i'm trying to start trouble? ๐
...
What problem are you pointing out. Ever cell phone company has a few exclusive phones. Alltel has some sprint verizon. Like the q. Verizon only has it. Just like with anything find the best phone for you! Find the best service for you. ANd go with it. I hate the blade and could care less if sprint has it or not. So thats my opinion. You stating verizon needs to get it well maybe they figured people won't like it due to the battery life. Maybe as with all samsung phone the reception is lousy. Samsung is way behind the power curve when it comes to the RF radios they have in them. So with bad reception and battery all you have is a good looking phone with great graphics. Not the main features I look for in a phone! When your on the move b...

The blade is alright but its on a sub par network with junk CS
...
i have to disagree.... i have verizon but my g/f has spring and she has no problems.....and the blade is better than anyhting verizon has....unless they get the razr maxx...but even then with moto's history it could be junky like the razr and krzr โน๏ธ
...
whatever well if your girlfriend has it and has no problems then if must be great ๐ great logic run with it and port
you and schlittertex could both have cool phone!! because thats the mark of a cool guy
...
your using the same logig their army. Verizon is sub par in places sprint is in places it called the wireless world. Every company has their areas were some are stronger then other.
...
Yes and verizon is stronger in allot more areas, compared with all other providers. The studies and numbers and churn don lie, sry guy sprint is sub par.
...
Oh my God, ArmySF has become a fanboy, and I can't believe you got me to use that stupid lingo. Army how does it feel to be a fanboy?
...
Grow up army!! sub par network I love comments like that! Verizon in my area is very sub par. Does that make all of verizon sub par. NO!!!
...
Just because it works for you doesn't make it not sub par, I know it hurt but verizon is better know matter what you say, the people have spoken deal with it.
...
What people lol. You fanboys kill me. It like you were brainwashed.
...
Verizon states largest network based on subscribers. Cingular states best network based on fewest dropped call. Sprint claims the largest network. So I don't believe anything they say. I go with the best service I get in the area I use it most.

so, then be happy with sprint

I am but you don't see me bashing verizon. Put some info on here that is useful to all.
...
Let me know when more then 200 k ppl sign up with sprint, or they reach below 1% churn.

Their you go bringing up something that has nothign to do with what we are talking about. Why does verizon fanboys fall to that. Verizon sucks in my area. That is a fact. Verizon is great by my mom in NJ. That is a fact. It all depends on were you live. Verizon is a name everyone loves their advertising is awesome. Their network (along with the other top 3)is great. So yes they are a great company. But that doesn't make them the best choice for everyone everywhere. I never said they weren't doing good. Plus sprint just went through a merger. How well did verizon do when they went through all theirs? So my point is no one company is the all mighty of wireless. Verizon itself wanted to buy sprint. They said it would put them above all ...

ok let me put in another way then since I happen to have a sprint phone sitting right in front of me ๐ณ I just agree with consumer reports, JD powers, and the masses that flock away from sprint each day...there network and CS is sub par compared to verizon, the indoor reception is my biggest issue with them.
...
I listen to them like I listen to movie critics. Those reports are worthless. As is car reviews. I have a armada and is listed worst SUV and most problems. I have over 60000. And the only thing I have done with it is tires just today. I go by what I see and experience. I have had every cell phone service there is. All were great. Just depends were I am. Sprint has issues but as a company not in service. I have had them for 5yrs now and had one problem with a CSR. They are human they have bad days!

ok ill give it up for a minute ๐ you're are right.. take cingular there churn is improving and got damn near close to signing up as many as verizon did but that doesn't mean anything to me ...

wow we agree. I don't like GSM too. I think their voice isn't as good as CDMA. But if you can ignore that then their ok as far as coverage and service. You will get no argument from me about verizon. And if you live in a area that they started out in you can't beat them. They are very strong in their native markets. Say NJ, PA, NY, VA to name a few. Just saying to each his own like you said. And it is so dependent on were you live. Well my 2 hr lunch is over back to work!
...
Yeah but according to those reports it also depnds on region

The graphics part you refer to has to do with a QVGA display found on the BLADE I believe (not sure)... The LG Chocolate is the only VZW phone that has a QVGA display, I think...
VZW has a standard UI that I do agree has boring graphics but on some of the new LG phones (such as the LG Chocolate) you can customize your menus with a new flash interface allowing you to pick from different themes...
...
I have the blade and love it. I bought it when it first came out and I have awesome service and never a problem with it. The only thing I do not like about it is the text message doesn't remember words you have used before so if it is not in the phones dictionary, you are putting it in every time.
As for the network.... Both Sprint and Verizon use CDMA service. They have a roaming agreement to allow one anothers customers to use their towers when theirs is not available.
I actually have a phone with Verizon as well and live in a Verizon area and my Blade has better service. However, this may not be the case in other areas. There are different factors that will have an effect on your service.

Dude, I am sure that I speak for everyone in this forum when I say take your a$$ to the Sprint forum if you don't like Verizon and what phones it has to offer. I swear everyday I have to read some crap from you talking about "Verizon should have this or that. Why can't they have phones like this company?"
