RAZR Battery under warranty?

Ok I am not attempting to "get a free battery" in this post. I would like, however an impartial assessment of what I should do.
I have a RAZR and it will be a year old on Christmas. The phone is still under warranty and I have the 5.99 complete coverage plan.

I notice that if I have my phone in the charger and it says "charge complete" and then I take it out and within a half hour send or receive a text message or 2, the battery indicator drops down to less than full bars. Talk on the phone for a half hour an now you are down to half bars.

Is this what I should expect from an 11 month old battery (I have an extended also and that one works just fine so I do not think it is the phone) or should I go back to VZW to ask for a pro-rated...

welcome to having a razr, the battery sucks in those. 11 months in a limited one year warranty will give you 25% off a new one at the store..

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I'll take it in before the 12 months are up. I'm also a merits customer so even if it does not work, I could just buy a new one at the 25% off that I normally get.
