Best Text Messaging/IM plan for 9900?

I'm going to be trading up to a 9900 around the middle of december.

I haven't done much texting or im'ing on my LG VX4500, but I know I will be doing much more IM'ing on the 9900.

As I understand it, verizon charges for IM messages as if they were text messages.

I've heard that verizon text plans aren't as reasonable as other carriers but that there are some text plans that are good but aren't advertised as much as the in-plans.

I forget where I read that, so I've lost that information, so I figured I would ask current 9800/9900 users that IM alot, what is a good plan for IM'ing?

get the highest, then work down if you don't need it...cmon, this is kind of ridiculous question. Only you are going to know what you need. I would rather have a plan thats too high, rather than pay overages.

Do you read a post before you mindlessly put something? He said text messages and not minutes.

Seems people are ammused by my question. 😁

I never asked about minutes, all I said was I read somewhere that there are some less advertised plans that are supposedly better for sending IMs to people not on verizon.

I will be using IM much much more than regular texting on the 9900.

I already know there are about 4 or 5 different plans with unlimited "in" texting and an increasing amount of non in texting allowed.

I was just trying to find out more info about these other not-so-advertised texting plans I had read about, I believe on a review of the 9800, maybe the information I had read is too old. I thought maybe some heavy TXT/IMers here in the forums had heard about or use these plans.

Regardless, I can't wait till Decemb...

yes there are bigger text plans than the ones advertised. all you needa do is dial *611 and ask about them.

theres something like unlim/2500 for $25 or something. and it only goes up from there
