Network Area

THIS IS NOT I REPEAT NOT to say who is better. Can anyone tell me were I can find a map of just verizons network coverage? Not theirs and their roaming area (extended network). Just using sprint as an example here. But if you go to their website they show their network then in another color their digital roaming network and in another color their analog roaming coverage!

Despite my s/n = I am not a brainwashed fan boy of sprint. Coverage does differentiate b/w carriers. It depends on where the customer travels as to whether Sprint/Verizon/Cingular will be better. SunCom has claimed to have the best network, a million person person company. So anyone can boast it. If you talk corporately owned towers Cingular wins hands down last count I heard was 45,000. But that doesn't make them better. CDMA in America has more towers. You could then get into a GSM vs CDMA argument and an 800 MHZ vs. 1900 MHZ argument. Peoples opinions are like armpits, everyone has them and they usually stink. Each company markets themselves differently. As for me I prefer the non-standard UI of Sprint, and there plans, the coverage fits ...

towers don't mean anything as most lease towers from companys. Most aren't even wireless companies they jsut own the land and tower. I am talking compare verizon coverage map sprints map and cingulars map. BUt cingular doesn't seperate their roaming areas on the map. Verizon and sprint and tmobile do.

Ok now I really want to have a true discussion on network coverage. However I will not do it unless all I am going to get is verizon is god its the network or something stupid like that. Anyone in?

I was looking like Alabama, Arkansas, LA, Mississippi, OK, TX, and I am still looking at the others truly do not have a big verizon presence. However sprint does and I am going to look at cingular but their maps are not as good as verizons and sprints for this. I am not saying who is better just coverage area since I have been hearing alot that verizon has a largest so I am jsut looking at it for myself. What you think gunny?

I really don't have much of an opinion just always interested in finding new things out, I agree with you about puffing chest over coverage but certainly still interested about how they stack up against one another.

How much of that area is considered to be Spints roaming though?

none. If you go to sprints coverage map you can turn off all roaming and their network shows up green. Its interesting. Verizon can't be beat in their native markets (were they started out at) but over the country I think they are lacking in a lot of states. I just think it is different strategies. Sprints was get in major cities and interstates then expand out from there. And verizons was expand out then move into other areas they are not.

Im just gonna take a wild guess. but im gonna assume verizon true coverage in the enhanced network. just think about it according to the map they will only guarentee(if i spelled that right)push 2 talk, chaperone, mobile web,txt/pix/plix,vz nav.now with that being said the map looks alot smaller then the ac map. But im sure that map covers all the major pops.Even if u took the enhanced network to tmobile voice/data network the two r very close. this is just my opinion/take on this subject. lets keep it moving this thread is good. who next?(yes i am a vzw agent)

thats my point. The Americans Choice map is verizon coverage on their network and all their roaming partners. You have to use the verizon network mad and compare. They are non existent in alot of states.

This is just a guess, and I'm not sure if it would be a correct one or not, but would the prepay coverage map be VZW's true coverage without the roaming network? Seeing as you get charged for roaming on the prepaid plans 🤨
