Cincinnati Bell
I heard a rumor that Verizon Wireless is looking to buyout Cincinnati bell. Is that true? Will they now be IN? Any insight.
Thanks!

Doubt it c bell is gsm.
...
WV Wireless was GSM and VZW bought them just a few days or weeks ago...so why would that matter?

It's all about spectrum... If a market shows potential sometimes it's just less expensive to buy them for their spectrum and replace the antenna's on the towers, especially since spectrum isn't something you can just go buy on the corner market whenver you feel like it.
...
so was the company they just bought in West Virgina!
...
someone beat me to it 🤣

wow didn't know i would get blasted for a simple comment. I'm sorry I didn't realize that the company they bought out in WV was gsm. I didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to it since its only WV.

1st...who blasted you? 2nd...people assume that most folks read the main page of this site for cellular news. 3rd..."Only WV". That is an arrogant statement. That one will get you blasted. What kind of remark is that? You think an area is "unimportant"? Ok, so maybe they don't have much in terms of pop base. But route 64 is a main vein across most of the country. BTW, it goes right through WV. Route 79 is a major route going south from Pittsburgh. And finally, I went to college at Marshall University and still have alot of friends in WV. So I wouldn't call it "only" WV.

Yeah ! ! ! Don't knock WV. My wife and my sister are from West Virginia and she's a wonderful person. 🤣
