Verizon needs to STOP strong-arming the manufacturers
Its bad enough verizon puts its crippling UI on every phone, but do you have any idea why verizon phones all look alike (ugly)? Do you know how much input verizon is having on your phones? Do you know why sprint gets a phone like the fusic and you get the 8300?
Do you have any idea how many times someone tries to defend verizon by saying that they don't manufacture the phones- but reality is they might as well have because of their influence in strong-arming the manufacture.

I don't see how it's their fault. It's more like most innovative phones are GSM, and the FUSIC is on an exclusive contract to Cingular.
Really, this rant is stupid. Sure, they could give suggestions onto the manufacterer, but, they don't. You can do that, you know.
But then again, no gaurentee that that new phone you suggested will be CDMA.
If you want better phones, move around carriers, or complain to Verizon, NOT US.
We don't WANT to hear your rant.
Either way, Verizon and Sprint only have like 3-4 good phones (each), same with other carriers. (In my opinion.)

Its called business. And certain companies get first crack at some phones. Like sprint with the Fusic. And verzion was the first with the razr. And the Q. But as time goes on sprint got them. Also I believe the palm treo700 was a verizon exclusive. Sanyo makes phones for sprint. Maybe verizon doesn't want to deal with them. who knows. But the other poster is right why rant here? We can't do anything. And I don't go with the carrier with the best phones but the best service for me!

Whats the point?? I mean really. No chit sherlock VZW has aggressive practices that other carriers don't do. But griping on here isn't going to change anything. I love how this fool acts like he knows something. Unless you are the exec making the deals with the phone manufacturers you never really know the whole story. Why would Verizon change up what they are doing when they are doing so well? Each phone company has their niche, nobody wants every carrier to be exactly the same right?

True, I worked for Sprint, I had Sprint, I loved their phones, but I don't love the customer service, the availability issues, and since I was in an alternative market I didn't like that whole debacle either.

I bet I hear allot of complaints about their CS, hopefully they're working on improving that.

I just remember being a 3rd party rep and a retail rep for an alternative market, I would have to call CS to get credits for customers and they were awful even though they knew i was a rep. I would call numerous times and just hang up on them, then call back.
