that sucks that the first battery only lasted 5 months may of been somewhat defective.
id reccomend not using car chargers unless really needed, only charge it when 1 bar or less on battery if possible etc to max life.

my first Palm Treo's battery was defective right out box. I charged it up all night and used if for 3 hours the next day and it was dead. I tried another battery and it lasts about a day and a half. (I use the Treo alot and Bluetooth all day).

that sucks lol. you can get a free battery from customer care or at the store if you just got the phone new and the battery is bad within the first 3 months.
