What are the new phones coming out for the christmas holiday? any guesses
...
Considering Christmas is only 2 weeks away, I'd say what's out is it. The new Chocolate colors and the EnV are the big Holiday ones!
...
THANKS, I was hoping for something more like the new pantech, or the new Q, or samsung 740u...0 well!!
...
new Q should be out tommorow onine, and the I have heard that the 740 will not be out until Jan 8th. I think I am gonna wait until March to get the 800p, should be a nice phone.

What is the 800p?
...
ok, I was gonna get a link for you gunny, but when I googled it, it actually came up as a hoax. Someone must have been posting false info and the rumor spread pretty quickly. If you google palm 800p, there is some pretty interesting information on the whole situation.

lol I was wondering what the heck I did google and was like huh 😕 bummer deal what about the Black Q?
...
i thought the black q was supposed to go on sale today. Onine only though. I dont think the black q is going to offer any upgrades, so I don't think its gonna interest me that much...I want to get a palm phone, but they all seem sooooo buggy, its annoying. I dont want to pay $600 for a phone and then hate it!

Well the palms with the Palm o/s are fine, my cousin and many other people use them all the time. The 700 with Windows is the one that most have problems with. I had to do a hard reset twice a week, which gets annoying real quick. You can still sync your computer to the Palm O/S, and open documents so I don't see the need for Windows.
...
Yeah,
And I would be using it with Mac, which I'm pretty sure is Palm Friendly. I can upgrade in June, I'll probably just wait until then to make the palm plunge 🙂
...
The thing about the palm I don't like is that you cannot truly turn it off. I know about 6 or 7 people that have the palm and once or twice a week they have to hard boot it, ie pull out the battery while on, wait for 30 seconds for all the capacitors to discharge and then put it back and boot up. All while praying their contact list is still there.
That ain't for me. I have about 600 contacts in my treo 650 which I can turn off without removing the battery. I'm thinking about looking at one of the Samsung smartphones even though they are the size of a brick. When that is too big I'll just forward all my calls to my 9800. While most people would say the 9800 is big, I think its quite small, but then again I'm 6'7 and 20 stone 5.
...
Actually if you take the batt out while the phone is on, then it will not hard boot, it will just turn the phone off completely. To do the hard boot you have to press the end key and hold while taking the batt out, or something like that, its been a while since I have done it. Also, you keep your contacts when you take the batt out.

I have the treo 700w and absolutely love it. Have not had one problem. I even get reception in areas that my vx8300 didn't...
...
Well then you got lucky because I had to get rid of mine because it would freeze up, and some other people in here have expressed that as well...oh well sometimes we just get unlucky with phones.
...
I don't have crazy amounts of third party applications either. I also have any and all email attachments sent to my memory card instead of my phone's memory. I heard that the freezing up issue could be if the internal memory was getting full...don't know how accurate that statement is, but...
...
What you see is what you get.

anyone know when/if the razr maxx is coming out?
