Buy Q at Verizon Wireless Online? Store? Costco?

Wondering where I should buy my phone... 👀

Online--free overnight shipping, activation waived, but what about returns...Can I return in a regular verizon store?

Store-- Will they waive activation? Can I haggle for a better deal?

Costco-similar, waives activation and say they throw in case, headset but looks like that's standard, only + I know so far is that I can get full credit for phone within 6 month if I need to return

1. No, if ordered online/mail order, the return goes the same way.

2. No, and no.

3. Yes/no, if a sales rep waives act fee they only end up paying for it out of their commission at one end or the other. 6 month later return????? No, yo...

indirect. They take the best care of their customers. Come see me. I will get you a very good deal on a Q, and be there for you after the sale!

now thats 🤣 🤣 🤣

being there for the customer means more than "please call 8009220204, they will be able to ........................ for you"

and yes I apologize, maybe being a jerk, and NOT looking to create a whole new off-topic thread but looking back to the days when I was in CS 99% that's exactly what happened

uuummm not here. I am sure that is what they will get from costco though. They are a cash and carry store...hence why they have to go so cheap to sell a product. That is the only way they can move a product. With your non mass merchant indirects...we have the lowest churn of any sales channel. Care to explain why this might be? Maybe because we take the best care of our customers.

i work for a CORP VZW STORE and we will wavie the act fee if it says that online and you will get the same price that is online.
Forget costco you have to pay the act. fee then it is waived after 6months of bills you send in to wireless adv.

AH, so VZW will "allow" the retail stores to waive the activation fee...but won't with the indirects...sounds like restraint of trade to me...

But, then again, our upfront prices are usually lower then the retail store anyway. So six of one and half a dozen of another...

Just buy from corporate stores...nothing against the indirects, but in the long run, it creates a lot less hassle to just buy from a corporate store. Atleast in my opinion.

i know you either own or operate an indirect..I just had a really bad situation with not buying a phone from a corporate store. It was a huge hassle, and I really only saved about $50 in the beggining. I dunno, from now on, I only buy from verizon stores.

Just think...if a woman based her life's sexual experience on what happens the first time, she would never have sex again.

Now, what if you have one bad experience at a retail store? Would you just give up altogether?

No offense crazyeaglefan but 99.9% of the time indirects charge more for phones, sometimes HUGH amounts more and do not give New every 2 discount. (I do understand they do not have to and they are in business to make a profit, so not downing them but wouldnt say indirect offers best deal, I have never seen that.)

WOW. Don't know where you are looking. Around here we are all usually less on phones. I have the LG VX8600 for 99.99 after rebate. I have the W315 for free. The 7075 for free. The VX5300 for free. The Q for 49.99. Need more examples?

Sure can, can give you two reasons actually!

1. NE2!
2. On-line promos with DF/my account!

for the longest time the indirects could not do ne2, but yet we still have the lowest churn rate. Better then online and direct stores which offer the above...

Huh?? Can't offer NE2? Think that is the indirects decision, could be wrong but... Not trying to say they should or they have to, they don't have to, can charge what they want as not owned by a wireless corp... (Spent 45 mins today with someone today who was mad cause an indirect didnt give them ne2, I did not blame the indirect, that is a companies choice, customer responsibility to decide what is best for them.

ok...but they can't LOSE money. With the 100 off and what we get paid on upgrades then we would lose money. Can't operate a business at a loss...

Your missing the point.. reason you may have the lowest is b/c they end up getting the price and not canceling after he/she calls CS (or goes to a direct store) and is upset b/c after a visit to indirect they find out an you don't/wont/cant (whatever you want to call it) offer the same price they see or are expecting / see advertised. so yes, when someone else is always pulling off the save, the one who did the activation is going to look good, but by default!

Ditto, voice of logic,
Get people calling everyday, ie, oh so and so told me to call and you could give me a credit, sorry, not happening.. So and so needs to give you the credit themselves!

I think I may know you Logic, are your inititals CP? Just curious.

And back to topic, lowest churn?? Don't buy that,if one calls (not saying it is done by all) switching primary lines around without the customer's knowledge, which JACKS up their bill, which CS has to ATTEMPT to explain and then giving them VCast and their like "75" and have no clue/nor what VCast, well if you call that a good deal?!?!? I am confused! Though all are not bad.

If you must get a Q (I'd recommend a 6700 ot 700w, but to each their own), get it at best buy. $99.99 on sale. How long for? Not sure, but that's what the price right now is.

LOL> once again VZW thinks that everyone is VZW direct. I sell a phone for less and they are "Dunno how they are doing that, the price is (quotes what VZW is selling phone for)" But if I sell a phone for a couple bucks more then it is, "Oh, they overcharged you. You should have bought the phone for (vzw direct price) and you should take the phone back." Notice that nothing about taking the phone back to a direct store when I could offer the phone for less.

Authorised dealers, like Best Buy, usually are cheaper. A razor for 19.99? Hell yeah! I've only seen one that charged more.
