Krzr Issues: Software update coming?
Hey all, I posted something similar to this in response to another poster on another branch of the forum, but I wanted verizon peeps to see it here, as they may have some answers...
I've got the Verizon Krzr, and have had it for a few days now. I also debated much between the two phones (krzr v. vx8600) as the features are so similar... as far as one could tell from messing with the store models. I chose the Krzr because it is a beautiful phone and the form factor is nice (no too long when open, has good weight, feels robust) the screens are slightly smaller, but I didn't feel that to be a problem.
Initial reaction, nice phone, easy to use. Can set each of the four directionals to your preference, unlike the razr. Sound quality was prett...

I don't think any software update is going to address all of the issues you mentioned. Yes they are annoying and are indicative of Motorola phones. My daughter has an 8600 and I am extremely impressed with all that phone does when I compare it to my RAZRv3M and my wife's KRAZR.
The 8600 in my humble opinion wins the race except the speaker phone....You almost can't hear it because the max volume is set too low. Other than that, I wish I could trade mine for an 8600.

Check with your local Verizon store software upgrade is out one issue is addressed to adjust volume with flip closed I don't know about the other issues.
