New VZW Customer?
I'm considering joining VZW, and trying to decide upon which plan, either the National or Local. I live in Central North Carolina and don't travel that often, maybe once in a blue moon to Miami. I probably do most my traveling within NC to the mtns or beach.
Would the local plan be enough? Or will I incur roamning charges.
Also, with local plan does that mean you can't dial anybody long distance?
As for phones, I think I'm going with the V710 😁

Do not go with a local plan as you would pay 35.00 for a 300 min pplan and this is the same for a national America's Choice pplan. The national pplan will cover 93% of the united states , includes long distance and no roaming unless within the 7 % of the area that is not covered. Also with the new promotions that just came oiut you get your unlimited Night and Weekends PLUS unlimited IN-NET(mobile 2 mobile) calls. for 39.99 includes 400 minutes peak /billing cycle

I will be doing family plan thats a bit low as far as mins go, aren't they?
...
well the only different with the Family Share plans is that it would cost an additional 20.00 per secondary line to share the minutes and you can go from these sets of minutes....
1)400/39.99
2)500/49.99
3)800/59.99
4)1200/79.99
5)2000/99.99
and they go up from here those are the prices for the Primary line all you do is add the 20.00 per secondary line and that will be your monthly Acess Fee

I work in the west and I know that on our local calling plans there is no roaming in the home coverage area(which is the state you live and a couple of neighboring states). You get charged roaming for using your phone outside of that coverage area. You can call long distance but it's $.20/min here.
In the west if your on a local calling plan you get more minutes for the same price as a national plan. For example, our america's choice national w/ 400 minutes is $39.99 and a local plan for the same price comes w/ 500 minutes.
Some more info; there are 2 definitions to know when it comes to local calling plan--home coverage area and local coverage area. Home coverage area is the area you're allowed to travel w/in and not incur roaming(l...
