IS THIS HAPPENING EVERYWHERE???
I have been having a problem with being able to hear myself talk on my 8300,8600,krzr.
when i was in the verizon store to pay my bill other people were complaining about hearing them self on the phone too.I thought it was my phone but i tried it with all 3 phones and they all did it.
while talking to some friends i found out they were having this problem also.
Can someone please give me some idea why this is going on?? i am in the rochester/buffalo N,Y area. this happened a few years ago too, and because of it i went to another provider. i really don't want to switch but i cant stand hearing myself.
I have done the *228 almost every day and that didn't help. I have power cycled the phone and that didn't help. I took the battery out...

I had a similar problem a few months back (I'm in Indiana) and found out that it was because they were updating the system in my area. All is great now. Hang in there.

if you mean echo when you say that you hear yourself...
I had lots of echo problems with vz back in the day 2001-2002 (when I had vz) Now, was it Vz or was it the network? 😕 I will never know...
