Verizon Wireless today began offering the Samsung SCH-A790 to consumers. The A790 is Verizon's first world phone, and the first phone in the world to include both CDMA and GSM technologies in one phone. The A790 uses Qualcomm's MSM6300™ chipset. The phone was first offered to business customers in late May. The A790 is available at Verizon Wireless retail stores for $349.99 with a two-year contract.

Or just stop by any GSM carrier and get a triband or quadband for about a third of the cost, and have more countries at you disposal. The Samsung only uses CDMA here in the USA
...
