Just moved to Kansas from California and have been a long time verizon customer. Coverage was great in Ca. but now that i am in Ks. the coverage doesnt seem to be that great? Lots of extended network coverage and in and out of coverage. Am I with the right carrier or should i hold out and stay with Verizon? I have called customer service and they can't tell me a whole lot if new towers are going up or not. Can someone please give me a little insight here? Thanks

Ask your (new)friends and collegues what they use, then go with that carrier if they are happy, VZW is the best carrier overall, but it might not be the best carrier in the particular area you are in. Dont listen to people on this board unless they happen to live in the same city you do. Just ask around to the people that live close to you now. Hope this helps.

don't listen to wfine. He just spouts off correct information for no apparent reason. Listen to me, I promise I will run you astray. Extended network is good. It is like the icing on a cake. You want it. You like it. You run your finger to get a little taste. Sure the cake is good too, but that icing is nice. Plus it brings on that nice game like in the commercial. "will I get the text message or won't I" "will I get my voicemail notification or won't I" Come on. Forget the reliable native coverage areas. Bring on the extended network areas! Don't fear them.

Ah better mood nowadays. I hope the original poster doesn't get too ticked at just how useless my post was for them...

take it for what it was. Just a funny comment. And not take it for what it wasn't.

Just had a customer that comes in all the time. (good looking, so she could come in everyday!) She said, "I bet you see me and think, 'there comes the pain in my butt'" She works as a nurse at a local hospital so I just said, "No, unless you are the nurse for my doctor who is about to give me a prostrate exam. Then you would be a pain in my butt."

Glad she has a sense of humor...
