Not really. I have a Nokia 6256i with full bluetooth on VZW, which has worked pretty much flawlessly for me. Great reception and tri-mode too.

I guess maybe phone snobs would think differently... for them, if it isn't the tippy-top of the very recent high-end, its crap. Which is silly... its like entering some sort of weird geek fashion show. 😳 I just want a phone at a reasonable price that works well. Majority of people probably feel the same.

reliable network is relative. Verizon isn't the best everywhere. It just seems Verizon is not tapping the techie market. I mean we are now in a computer age, computers are no longer anything new, I have grandparents that are on MySpace for Heaven's sake. The most common excuse for the Standard UI is so its easier to transition phones. Dear Lord, its a basic GUI no matter what phone you go with, its not hard. So if someone wants to choose your network they have to do so with less capabilities and options, and no guarantee of better service.

Not to start a Sprint war, but for comparison purposes. Sprint has a somewhat Standard UI, all the Settings screens on all the phones are the same. Sounds, Diplay and all the main functionality there i...

If I was to rub the Magic Ball and look into the future, I would guess that Verizon is not far from starting to more aggressively push the allowance of cell phone makers to have more control.

I agree times are changing and verizon has and will continue to change.

Know what's funny about that statement? If vzw customers do that all day long; what and awfully great endorsement of the network...from a customer.

I just got a Grand Cherokee and love it, really love it. I have yet to feel compelled to post it online to anyone (until now 🙂 ) Imagine the joy that one must be deriving from the network and its reliability so as to compell the to post that joy.

Just think.....

its nothing wrong with "endorsing" a company that gives you good service but if you hear it all the time it will drive you nuts, the thing is, these people arent getting $$$$ for their positive experiences on verizon, give me the money, then ill gloat all day. lol
