Verizon charges for incoming international text messages too??? OMG! I get international text messages all the time from friends in the military and stuff, but Cingular doesn't charge me for them; they come out of my text package... Same thing when I had T-Mobile ☚ī¸

No, it's 25 cents for out going international. That's never changed. It will be hard for anyone to get out of your contract, reason if this adversely effect you, you have the option to drop that feature, I.E. they will block the text messaging for you. If you are on a text plan, this does not effect you at all. So only Pay As You Go texter's are effected. And even then... it's block, take a plan, or keep it.

only on sprint... Cingulars policy isn't to cancel w/o ETF, per Cingular the change isn't a material change of contract.

but its not possible just to remove the contract without cancelling my line? I have 5 more months on my contract, but I want a Samsung i730 now. Can I call *611 and have them take the contract off for free (since no ETFs) and upgrade to the i730 online? That would be a lot easier than cancelling then siging again..
