VZW service quality in Philly?

Hi there,

I have some relatives that recently visited here in Chicago. They happened to have an AWE phone, and they are out of Philly. I asked them if they knew about the merger with Cingular, and they said great, they didn't want to deal with them.

How is the CS out there along with coverage?

Here in Chicago coverage is very good, and cs is above average, the ELGIN call center is pretty reliable.

But the other day I called a diffent CS number and was routed to Pittsburg twice, and they didn't seem to have there stuff together.

Thanks for the insight,

~Brian

"Pittsburg" has an h on the end of it. Pittsburgh. 😉

I had to do it... I'm from around there and that's almost an insult to us Pittsburghers. 😁

Sorry, I stuck out like a sore thumb huh? 🤭 🙂

Well, do you have an opinion on the above?

I haven't had MUCH firsthand experience with Verizon around Philly. Although the general rule that I feel is true about Pennsylvania is this. Verizon rules Western Pennsylvania and Cingular rules Eastern Pennsylvania. However, I can't imagine that Verizon service would be less than average (average as in Verizon standards) there. Verizon's headquarters resides in New Jersey. I believe it would be much of an embarrassment for the surrounding area of Verizon's headquarters to have less than average service. 🙂
