Seeking advice on chooding a carrier for Metro NY
I'm looking to sign up with a carrier. I live and work in the New York City metropolitan area. 99% of calls will be made in and around the 5 boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. I'm currently with ATT; my wife is now with Verizon. We intend to go with a family plan. We don't need the best phones, but want good quality. My wife wants a camera phone.
Which carrier should we go with? We went to dealers today at ATT, Verizon and Cingular. Cingular seems to have the best deal, and Verizon seems to have the worst deal. The current plans for VZW as you typed are incorrect. With 39.99 you get 400 peak minutes to use between 6am-9pm weekdays. Nights after 9p are unlimited. Weekends are unlimited as well from 9p Friday night until 6am Monday morning. Any calls that you make from one VZW phone to another are completely unlimited now 24-7. As far as current pricings on phone check out the verizonwireless.com sight. As far as coverage goes for where you stated, well I used to work customer service for Sprint PCS a few years ago, so truthfully speaking I think the coverage VZW versus Sprint goes there both at the top side by side.
