GIN Memory usage question

Let's say we have a phone without an expansion slot and it is advertised to have 30MB of 'memory'. I'll assume that means for media and ringtones.

What happens to that 30MB when you download Navigator and Backup Assistant? How large are the various apps and is that published somewhere?

navigator is 1.8mb and backup is 305k, so not really using a lot of space

Thanks, So I would have about 28MB left on a V3c for movies and other media?

Some phones Memory are allocated separately for PIX/FLIX, Ringtones/Sound, GIN Apps. So you can fill up your ringtones and still have room for apps or pix. Depending on the phone, with the Standard UI, Go to Menu, GIN, then select info at the botton of your screen, right or left soft key, memory info should be there.
