I ported my number to Verizon from Sprint in early July. Ever since, I get a voicemail alert everytime i turn my phone on, or everytime i leave and come back to the service area. There is never a voicemail and the only way to get rid of the indicator is to manually delete it. Verizon cant seem to figure out what the problem is.I have talked to many people and have had my voicemail turned off for a few days but as soon as they put it back on it started again. We filed a trouble ticket with Tech support 2 weeks ago but the issue is still not resolved. Also, i dont think it is the phone becuase i have had 2 different phones and it happened with both of them. Any thoughts?

Try asking Tech support to see if there is a VMI that has been "stuck" in the system. I've seen that before. The network will continue to page you with a VMI, most likely occurring in Motorola infrastructure.

But if they remove VMAIL and MWIND from his account features, won't that delete the VMI being sent to his phone? Especially if he had those features removed for a couple of days?

have you checked the voicemail box number that is stored in your phone? it is possible that it's wrong, that is what happens with most of USCC's phones that have that problem. go into messages, then message settings. voicemail # should be the first option then, just make sure it's your cell phone number. if that doesn't work... then i have no clue. ðŸ¤
