Thanks yep I have read the same rumors but it appears the tides have changed, they are now saying its a verizon go. I looked at sprint phones coming down the pipe and see nothing about waterproof, I guess we'll see 🙂

I so want this in US Cellular land. I live (and sell phones) in a non Verizon, non Cingy area, and I have customers that would mortgage their house for the 4th time to get this phone.

The GzOne is far from being a popular mainstream phone, why do they want it so bad?

You have no idea how many phones a day I get in here that have been dropped in a feed trough, or been bucked off a horse into a creek, or just dropped in the feedlot and lost in the "mud". This kind of phone appeals to a wide selection of custies. Well, in rural OK it does, anyway.

I would just like to cut down on the "What do you mean, sweating on it is liquid damage" customers. Oh, man, baseball season is about to start, and we had 18 phone fatalities related to HS baseball last season. This phone would fix those problems as well. Custies would buy them at retail, just so they could not have to call insurance 8 times over the course of the year.

For those that didn't buy the Gzone for whatever reason like size, ugliness, lack of bluetooth/sd slot etc..who would reconsider purchasing the next version if those issues were addressed? 🙂

You know when you're hiking Mt. Everest and you drop your phone, how annoying that is? They always friggin' break after hitting some snow or being up too high or whatever. Then there's no way to get in touch with 1-888-SHERPAS to get someone to rescue you, and you die a cold and frosty death. It, like, really sucks. Well, you should have gotten a more rugged cell phone, bro — like the Verizon G'zOne Type-V, for example. Hitting stores tomorrow, the idiotically named phone is designed up to all sorts of military standards, making it able to handle temperatures up to 140 degrees, solar radiation, serious vibrations, getting dunked in water, or pretty much any other type of abuse that would fry a KRZR in two seconds. It also has GPS so you can ...

yea, had a dude in from corporate a month or two ago who was testing this (and the 9400). It is a fair size smaller, the model i saw was like a dark navy color. The removal or the shack guard and redesign of the antenna are definite improvments, plus bluetooth....

he said they were also testing a waterproof bluetooth, but didn't have one to show off.

no eta though, but if its in testing it should be fairly soon
