Problem with text messages!

I have a problem with my texting or picture messages. When I send out a text or picture message to a person, it seems that someone else gets it. As for example, I was text messaging a friend with a number (555-555-5555) and it went to another phone number (555-555-0000) and when I tried again; I end up getting a reply back telling me that it was a land-line number. I know for a fact that this is a cell phone number and not a land-line number and I call verizon tech support and they said they will look into it and get back to me in 24 to 48 hours and they never did. Does anybody have an idea what could be wrong and why are my messages are going to someone or some number I dont even know? Thankyou very much everyone for your support and have a...

Yeah, you and your friends have LG phones. YOu friend sent you a text or pix msg with a Call Back # turned on as 555-555-5555. Turn off you Call Back number in your settings and have your friend do the same, or dont reply to a text message they send you, create a new text and put their # in.

Sure you can, it's 25 cents a message. The Text is read to you and the person can reply. Sprint, Verizon and others are doing this... but the real question is WHY??

Thanks for all the response everyone! I really appreciate it. As a matter of fact I have done all those that you stated, even to create a new text message and entering the number manually as well. I am able to receive messages but my messages are going to some landline number that I dont even know and sometimes it goes to some other cell phone, my guess is that my messages are getting re-routed to another number instead of the right one!

My v3c does the same thing. It turns the last two digits of the number i am texting into 00. So for example if I am texting someone with a phone number that ends in 7285, it will turn it into 7200. Verizon told me that it is a known issue with the razors. I guess it's not only the razors....

I see this all the time. If you are sending messages from your contact list and you have a 1 in front of the # it will replace the 1 with a 0 at the end, hence sending the message to the wrong person. Example: 1-555-555-5555 and you send it the message. It actually goes to 555-555-5550. All that you have to do is erase the 1 in your contact list and your messages should go out just fine.

Hope this helps 😁
