VZ Music Mgr doesn't see my phone
I've got the Motorola Krazr, have installed the updated software and driver from VZ's site, but when I go to sync, it says Your phone has not been detected. I've tried all the suggestions on this and other forums - reinstalling the software, rebooting both computer and phone, etc.
I thought I'd be able to store music in the phone's memory without having to buy a card yet - is that wrong? Do I need the card for Windows Media Player to recognize the device? And if that's the case, what the heck's the point of VZ pushing the Music Essentials Kit???

no you should be able to music on it without the card, however even if you get it working you will not be able to get amny songs on internal memory. The music kit has one major flaw....Microsoft! So you have vzw and Microsoft, the two most restrictive companies in the US, it is surprising it works for anyone. The kit is nice because you get the data cable so you can downoad software like bitpim to get ringtones on your phone as well as pix and whatnot and the headphones are nice for music, but if you want music on your phone the easiest way is to just buy a memory card and card reader and just put them straight on the phone, you can get cards on ebay dirt cheap.
