EVDO Rev A v. Rev 0
I am going to get a PDA this May. Should I buy one of the new PDAs with EVDO Rev A or get a Treo 700p with rev 0? Is A considerably faster than 0?
...
I don't think is really that much faster but what it is important is the low latency between Rev 0 vs Rev A. Rev A has very low latency!
...
That and the upload speeds are MUCH faster. Rev. 0 is 60-80kbps. Rev. A is 300-4000kbps
...
You sure? That seems pretty slow for Rev. 0. EVDO is broadband speeds and 60-80 is more like dial up.
...
Yes. Positive. Pulled it right from Info-Center. Rev. A has also been launched in about 30 cities so far
...
he said upload speed of rev 0 is 60-80
dl speed is different. its 400-700
...
he was talking about upload speeds which will always be slower than downlink, revision a will bump it up to 100 to 300k uplink i think, but the latency will improve dramatically, rev. 0 is 150ms and rev a. less than half of that.
...
rev A playa... get the treo wx its decent
...
The 700wx has Rev A? So it's not actually the same model as Sprint?
PS- prefer Palm.
...
THe WX is the same as Sprint. So far there is only one Rev A pda, I760
...
and the Libra and Titan.
...
nope and nope, both rev 0
