How SECURE Is Mobile Web?
Since I'll be getting a new phone with New Every 2 in the near future, and will probably get one with WAP 2.0 capability, I would appreciate your opinion(s) on Mobile Web 2.0 SECURITY. Right now I'm totally happy with my Motorola V60i as a phone. I've never thought about using it as a web browser. Honestly, I've never heard of any problem arise from mobile web security. About as safe as any voice phone call, if not more. With todays digital phones it is virtually impossible to clone or decode. I feel more safe giving my cc # over my cell phone than my landline.

Don't be concerned about a WAP connection. Unless you are paying for a public IP address from your provider you are accessing the Web from their static public domain IP. Your phone number is not visible on the Web when using WAP.
Text messages are phone number based and spammers can send them to you regardless of your use of WAP.

Have you experienced, or heard of spamming to cellular phones via their browsers? That's my concern.

Again, when you are using the WAP browser you are accessing the Web through the carrier's domain. You phone will not have its own IP address that is visible.
