Lost Internation SMS
I have friends and family in europe. I only get 1/3 of the SMS they claim to send. I started to doubt them. When I traveled overseas, I sent my friends here in the US large number of SMS. Guess what, the rate of failure was very high. Other friends with GSM service don't have this problem...
Vzw tech support said that there is nothing Vzw can do.
I like verizon, but this is not good. Is this a good reason to leave? I am paying 25/cent per SMS (10 cent incoming).

It seems to me like a Vz problem (only) Not the other companies' problem. You just said that it happens in other parts of the country as well. After all, not all international carriers can send to Vz. There are always exceptions, whther it is Vz, Tmo, etc etc

I work in a stor60 hours a week, and I agree 100%, exactly what you said happens all the time, I have customers sent mms and sms messages all over the world, not jsut to Europe, and I would say that 7 outta 8 dont go through, and VZW says that its "not our system"
