Hi all,
I'm going to be due in July to get a new phone and I'd like to get a touch screen smartphone with a slide out keyboard. I find the touch screen to be frustrating when you are trying to quickly type. My husband has the Droid and that is fine... but it feels like a brick because its so heavy. Not a big fan of the palm slider that is also out.

Anyone know of any other smartphone models coming out with a slider keyboard? Am I correct that the Droid X will not have one?

I have recently learned that Verizon is building a new tower where I live so we will finally have a provider other than US Cellular. How can I find out a projected date they will have the cell site in service.

With all of this talk about HTC Droid and Whatever else is going on, I havent seen anything new on any new Blackberries that are coming out...AT one point there was talk about about a Storm 3 or something else, but havent heard much about it.

If I'm still in my trial period but removed the upc for a rebate, can I return my handset for an exchange of the same one? 😕

So, I am bored and decided to browse the VZAM site and lo and behold the Droid Incredible is listed under advanced devices. Now I have an option besides a WinMo device to upgrade my XV6900 to in the future.

I'm considering adding a line and putting my mother in law on my plan. She needs it to be the simplest phone possible. No camera, big numbers. If I could pre-program 8 or 9 speed dial numbers for her that would be great. Any suggestions as to a Verizon phone that would work for an older person?

To say I had trouble trying to get an early upgrade to the Bold 9650 would be an understatement. Numerous phone calls and various tactics led me nowhere. I was issued a review unit (that sadly has to be back in two weeks) so I was eager to get my upgrade so I would have a Bold 9650 to use. Although I've since gotten over my new toy envy, I still wanted the device. Well yesterday I was tipped off to this thread in the forums, where a good number of members were saying they had been issued a Bold 9650 as a replacement for their busted Tour 9630. Being that my device was still under warranty, I figured I'd give it a whirl myself.

Hi Guys,

I am in the market for a new pda. I currently have the blackberry storm 2 but cannot stand the web browser on this. I love the screen and would love if there was a keyboard to it as well. So I went and am trying out the bold and i'm sorry to say but the screen is very tiny and i'm not really liking the keyboard it carries. Also, the browser again is slow!! I'm trying to look for a new os so what do you guys think about the palm os? Please let me know your take if I should switch to the pre plus..

Lastly, I did try the droid once with the eris and did not like. I was trying to get the incredible because I hear everything is much more advance than before but I would have to wait for xmas for that to finally arrive since they are...

Hey guys got a question. Recently moved into a new apt complex where the coverage is spotty at best. I have wifi so that takes care of my data side. For the voice portion of my device I'm considering getting the Network Extender. I have an incredible, but the wife has a Palm Pre with Sprint. Will she be able to utilize the Network extender as well being that Sprint uses CDMA or is she going to need to purchase the femtocell from Sprint?

Just curious if anyone heard any rumors?

If you read any of the comments, you would have seen people with no issues calling in and committing fraud by telling vzw they are having issues to get a new/free Bold. Would you?

Why do you think people are like 'vzw/sprint is ok in my book now' 'vzw rocks'? They are happy that they lied to cheat the system?

I'm curious how many there are out there that gave up on waiting for Android on ATT.

This looks like it's going to be one sweet phone.
Not sure about the whole Motoblur thing but early indications are it's running something else. Personally I like the size; about time Big Red got something like this. By the time the Incredible gets off b/o this thing will be out; should be an interesting summer, for sure. Sorry Scott about your IPHONE; perhaps early next year eh?
