They won't do it in the store, my phone broke and was going to use an old alltel phone and they won't activate it, can you over the phone when they can't see it

When you upgrade your phone on the NE2 does the price of the phone get added to your bill or do you pay up front for it?

How does it work?

Mine will probably be the Motorola Shadow, just because I love Motorola phones.

I see it's in the deal-of-the-day catagory. I assume it's going to not be offered soon. This phone seems to get pretty solid reviews and the key board is usually rated as maybe the best ever so I'm wondering if the whole Winmo thing is as bad I feel it might be. After fighting with Windows all day at work and at home on the pc I don't think I could handle a phone that crashed all the time. On the other hand this is a nice looking powerful business phone for a very attractive price. Anybody got some advice?

Ive been thinking, it is a rarity but it happens from time to time. This new 200mb plan from AT&T for smart phones is a joke. I think we all knew that though. What will be interesting is to see how many reps sell their customers into this plan with smart phones. I believe the pricing will bring a ton of smart phone sales. The problem with this I see is with proration over billing cycles. Lets say your a new cux, you purchase a smart phone on that $15 plan (i would completly disagree with it as i use over 3gig a month on my devour, my aunt uses 5 gig on her tour just streaming Pandora and other radio stations at work), lets say your mid cycle, so you have 15 days left in the bill which = 100mb. My New Every 2 is in September, but I'm wondering if I should hold out upgrading if any other new phones are due out.

Have to admit I was hoping for a Verizon iphone, but since that fizzled yesterday, it looks the Incredible is the next best thing. However, it seems like I'm always just a beat behind when a newer/greater phone comes out, so if anyone has any heads up on phones due out in the 4th Q or 1st Q of next year, I'd love to hear about them.

I am eligible for the new every two plan on my family plan, giving me a $100 credit toward the purchase of new phone. I went by best buy to look at phones and they have the Motorola Droid on sale for $99. The very nice best buy sales person said that technically, they do no honor the NE2 credit, but they do price match, so I could buy the Droid and they would then honor the $100 credit, giving me the phone for free. She then went on to explain that they cannot access the account to take the $100 credit off, so the credit would actually remain on the account at verizon, allowing me to use it later for one of the other lines i have.

Does this sound correct?? Thank you for your time!!

I was just wondering how long the average backorder is for an Incredible. I know a few people who are "expecting". They've placed their orders and are now waiting not-so-patiently. What's the typical wait time? Is pretty-much everyone backordered, or are there a few retailers out there who actually have stock of that phone on hand? Mostly just currious. Thanks.

Okay, here is my new situation. I did get the netbook I was working on about a month ago. BTW, my mother-in-law made an incredible recovery; amazing everyone in the process.

Here are the details of my current question.

I have two BB Tour's (my wife and I).
I have a Rival for my daughter.
I now have the netbook.

I would like to drop my BB service. However, I realize that I have to have a data plan if I have the BB's. So I am trying some fancy maneuvering...

I am NOT eligible for an upgrade.
I do not have any other phones laying around.
I am not crazy about ordering my E-bay.

Any suggestions would be helpful. I lost my job so naturally I have to go over all bills and make the necessary adjustments until I can get back on my feet.

Situation: Out of contract I'm on the 1400 minute family plan with 2 Droid's and unlimited txt. Any suggestions on the best dumb phones would be my first request. I need to stay on the 1400 minute plan because I'll need the minutes to look for work ( only phones) and my wife calls her mom frequently who's on a land line. I only have one extra dumb phone laying around it's the Motorola Adventure and it has seen better days, so I wouldn't feel comfortable activating that...so I guess I have to purchase new phones.

Are there any other prepaid options that I might not be aware of that ...

It's 2:30pm PST and there is still !!NO!! Vcast Video app in the market under the Verizon tab. I want this feature.

Can someone please ask around and find out what is going on, there was a press release from Verizon, and it said Monda June 7, that's today.

Why would anyone want to pay $15 for 200 MB or $25 for 2GB? Heads up people At&T isnt doing this to save people money instead you will probably see threads posting of people complaining of thousands of dollars of bills because they have exceeded their allowance. VZw is still offering $29.99 unlimited on their pda devices. On the pda devices its truly unlimited. At&T has to do this to try and curb peoples high data usage. Their network cant handle it. Also its going to help their bottom line. Especially now that the Iphone 4 came out. Its just a coincidence that they launched these new plans right before the new Iphone came out.

I think people will be really unhappy and will be whining about their high bills. I for one hope VZw...

I just wanted everyone to know that I will be watching the news like everyone else this Monday June 7th to see if Apple makes an announcement for the new Iphone and if it will be coming to Verizon.

I for one am very satisfied with my moto droid. Before I bought my Droid (12/2009), my wife was even discussing switching over to ATT. But I told her that in 2010 the Iphone was coming to Verizon. She had a Blackberry storm 1 now and still has it. 2 months after I got my droid, she said that she was no longer interested in the Iphone since seeing my droid.

Looks like Apple lost 1 perhaps 2 potential customers since they had to have such a long exclusive deal with ATT. I can not recall any other cell phone exclusivity contract more than ...
