WHICH PHONE HAS THE CLEAREST SOUND

I just contracted for two years with Verizon Family Plan the begining of July. I am very happy with the plans and I look forward to getting top rate service.
Here is my question:Which phone gives the clearest sound ? I purchased two V 815s and also got a V 65 Motorola. I love the features of the V 815 but the sound Quality I am not sure of. I do not know if the average sound clarity is due to the Network or the phone!
I was with T-Mobile before and had Nokia phones. It seem that the clarity on calls was much better.
I like Verizon's new every two and the $5.00 In message thing. Also T-Mobile did not treat you as well if you wanted to upgrade you equipment. I'm staying with Verizon ,but I am disappointed with the sound clarity when makin...

Which of the following phones holds onto a signal best...

-Samsung A570
-Kyocera KX1 "SoHo"
-LG VX4650
-Motorola V260/262

My Aunt currently has an LG4500 and is having issues with dropped calls...getting delayed voice messages due to dropped or not received calls, etc. I had the same phone and had to stand in one of 2-3 places in my apt to hold onto a signal and not drop a call. Recently got the Samsung N330 which I love...can go anywhere in my apt, and no dropped calls! May suggest this one to her, but she prefers a flip phone. Also, she's not interested in a camera phone...which is the reason I'm asking about the phones listed above. Would appreciate any opinions...especially from people who have used or tried any of these phones.
Thank-You!!

How do you reset your phone?

I just bought a new phone for myself, and wanted to give my old phone to my brother to use. I was wondering if there is a way to do some sort of "hard reset", or something similar, to clear out all the phone book entires and information so that he would have a clean phone and we wouldn't have to manually delete everything. Thanks!

Help with Caller ID on Verizon

I'm new to this forum, so I hope you can help (sent original request as a reply - sorry, so I'm resending).

I'm a new Verizon customer with 4 phones in a family share plan. 3 numbers ported over from Cingular and 1 number is new. All 4 numbers display my name (Master Account Holder) when calling a land line with Caller ID. I've spent 2 days with Verizon telling me it can/can't be done but no success yet. I can't believe this is such a unique request that it's not possible. I simply want each individual phone to display the user name (which is in the system) when they call a land line. Can anyone provide help/guidance?! Thanks in advance!

New Family Plans starting on the 18th??

well, it is being rumored that there are going to be new family plans starting the 18th. Rumor is, there will be no $59.99 plan anymore, that will change to $69.99 for 2 lines and 700 minutes. There has been no other information offered yet, anyone here hear of anything of the sort. I would like to know what the rest of the plans are going to do on the family side. Is everything going up $10 and adding 200 minutes to the plans.

IF anyone has any information, that would be great, I am in the middle of trying to decide what to do minute wise on my family plan, and it would be nice to know if I should wait, or move now. Thank you for any information you can provide, and yes, I know this is a forum and anything told here is just hearsa...

LG VX-8000 Shutoff Issue

Is anyone else still experiencing shutoff issues with the VX-8000? I have noticed other threads regarding this issue. I am on my third handset and am still having the problem. I've taken my handsets to my local store where they've been tested. My local store states there is nothing wrong with the phone but the issue still persists. It's been like pulling teeth to get my local store and customer care to hive me replacements. At this point I'm fed up with the phone. Can anyone give me advise on how to get customer care to allow me to switch to another manufacturers comparable phone? I'm not getting anywhere with them on my own. This is very frustrating! 😡

Thanks

Best no BS tri-mode phone?

Been shopping for a new Verizon phone since my NE2 upgrade cycle just kicked in, and my LG4400 is looking a bit weary. It was never a good performer anyway, very poor in fringe digital areas and next to useless on analog.

Since I always use a headset the availability of Bluetooth was appealing, so I tried a Motorola V710 with their HS850 headset for a few days. Not a good experience, the headset just simply doesn't have the audio quality I need. The phone itself was a big leap forward in terms of reception but it wouldn't communicate with my Tungsten T2 PDA and neither would the headset, making the BT features worthless.

It was also my first camera phone. Being a professional photographer I thought it might be fun or useful. Now ...

Nights and weekends..

Is Verizon ever going to offer 7 pm nights and weekends... Cingular (GSM), Sprint (CDMA), and Alltel (CDMA) all offer it!!??

I know that prior to the Cingular/AT&T merger, Verizon offered IN calling to the largest community of cell-phone users, but now that Cingular offers that AND 7 pm nights and weekends (for an additional $$), will Verizon ever step up??

Just wondering if anyone knows, because my contract is up and I'm looking to switch, and just looking for the best deal...

Sincerely,
Former AT&T user (and very sad about Cingular takeover)

Just switched from Cingular to Verizon...have some questions...

In the middle of switching to Verizon...I have some questions for those who are using Verizon.
I got the 900 minutes/month(unlimited nights and weekend). Does using the phone during nights and weekend count toward my 900 minutes or are they really free without strings attached?
I am a bit used to not keeping track of my minutes since the minutes roll-over every month. 😛

How is the reception of Verizon Wireless vs Cingular? I did not get a good reception of my cingular phone when I am in my room talking and I had to come out to living room to talk. Do you think Verizon reception would be better(I am in los angeles area)?

Thanks for your response.

What phone should I buy?

I have around 400 bucks and I want a good phone from Verizon. I've heard that Verizon phones are not that good sometimes so I want to know what phone you guys think I should get. I'd like a camera and mp3 player. Highspeed internet would be cool but not necessary. Thanks for any input!

Differences in EVDO laptop cards

Does anyone know the differemces in all the EVDO cards now available from Verizon? I currently have the Audiovox 5220. But, now thats discontinued after a short run. Are their issues with it? Is the 5740 better? How about the Novatel V620 which I now see in stores? And there is also a Kyocera KPC650 card. They all do both 1XRT and EVDO. So what are the differences. Do they all have external antenna connects? I know my 5220 does and their are aftermarket kits for it to increase strength.

Thanks All.

Cingular is king!!!

Hello all you VZW enthusiasts... i have stumbled across your realm to find the word "cingular" used as much as the word verizon in your subject matters.. what is it about cingular that so interests all you verizon customers?? Just flipping through some of the posts in the forum, i see that not only do you claim that verizon has perfect coverage, there are certain individuals that resound in such great one-liners such as "verizon in the best!".. i have been a cingular customer for several years and have always enjoyed their great rates, top notch phone selections, low-cost price plans.. SO i ask .. what is so great about verizon? a poor handset selection, high rates where is the turn on.. I have been paid to test wireless service across the U...
