EN-MOU

My parents are redoing there house and for an internet connection, their laptop may be an only choice. For the first two weeks their phone line may be down so they want to get the data cable and maybe use their cellphones with EN-MOU. They asked me a few questions but I don't have the answer to.

1. Can they still add EN-MOU to their plans?
2. What is the usual connection speed?
3. What data cable is good for a v60s?
5. If they use it during nights and weekends is it basically free?
6. Do they terminate the promotion for excessive usage?
7. What is the number to call and what to ask?

Thanks, SW

Nobody was able to answer these yet on Hofo and I hoped that maybe it could be answered here because my parents really need internet acc...

Bluetooth Update from Motorola

Try this. Go to:

http://commerce.motorola.com/consumer/QWhtml/contact ... » and ask them this question: "When will the firmware be available to fix the missing Bluetooth profiles on the V710 that Verizon has withheld"

Every month since August, their answer was basically "Next month", in November, it was "By the end of the year". This week the answer was "during the first quarter of 2005".

Try it and please post the results.

Need more info regarding adding a line for 9.99 deal

I was just checking my account info on the VZW site and saw the promotion of adding a line for $9.99 on local plans. Does this only apply to the 3rd line? If I read correctly, it stated that the 9.99 applies to an account with 2 lines on an 59.99 plan or higher. Need some clarification on this please...

Verizon doesn't get charged for roaming???

Have a question for the VZW reps. Do ya'll have a current package plan being sold that offers some sort of no roaming fees? I work for sprint and i was with some friends that have verizon and we were talking about how when verizon roams in a part of our town, they don't get charged for it. I argued the point pretty heavily cause I thought I saw that you guys charge 69 cents domestic roaming. Well at least i see that on the brochures. Two of my buddies were pretty adamant about that.

Maybe you could clear up the confusion?

Why won't Verizon.....

Why won't Verizon let their authorized retailers do NE2? The closest corporate store is 45 mins away in a busy mall! ( I hate malls)

Bluetooth

This Google search link should prove interesting to those who want Bluetooth capability, but are unhappy about Verizon not presently allowing fully Bluetooth-enabled phones on its network.

Battery

Am I the only one who has noticed that my battery last less while in the cold weather? It's wierd; ok, this is what happened, I had a full battery, and I went out to wash my car, didnt place any phone calls, and by the time I was done washing my car I was down one bar. I didnt have the phone on me, I put it nearby, it got very cold, when I picked it up it was so cold that I worried. Any explanation to this?

7pm nights?

Anyone know if Verizon will have the option to pay a bit more for 7pm to 7am nights? I currently have Cingular, which offers this option, but still has some problems with reception. (I'm in the SF Bay area.) Thanks!

What can be done about dropped calls?

Well folks, the verdict is in...and I can't seem to hold anything over 10 minutes when calling from home...so...

1. Should I get a different handset altogether (new make/model)?

2. Just carry on and wait for a closer cell tower to arrive (they don't know when that will be, but they said it WILL come)

3. Or switch carriers (which I really don't want to do)... ☹️

I have a CDM-9900 which didn't seem to be a problem at home in the beginning, but now doesn't seem to hold anything when at home (everywhere else is perfectly fine). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And BTW, this is my second replacement (and no, I did not tweak with the settings in the hidden menu).

Thanks in advance for any help out there.

Service at or near Silver Springs Fla.

Could anyone comment on verizon's coverage at or near Silver Springs Fla, it seems nextel and sprint are major in that area, i have checked the map on vzw website, but would like to know first hand if anyone has experienced service in this area.

Verizon = Extortion?

Extortion
n 1: An excessive or exorbitant charge.
Syn: Oppression; rapacity; exaction; overcharge.

I own an Audiovox CDM 9900. Verizon has crippled its otherwise robust functionality and made it impossible to use its extensive data capabilities without paying Verizon for the honor. They have manipulated the phone's file structure in order to disable the usb port from accessing or moving data via a data cable. Therefore, if I want to upload/download images or sounds I have to pay. If I want to upload/download a game I have to pay. If I want to upload/download an application I have to pay.

Contrast that with other data devices. This is basically a computer that has built in telephony. If any PC had this limitation it would wither on th...

Verizon Wireless = The Devil

"Crippling" bluetooth is so evil only the devil would have a heart that black.

P.S. I have a fully enabled Cingular Bluetooth phone and it is such a fun toy. I measured how much time the Bluetooth saves and the answer is 0. It didn't save me time because I spent a lot of time dinking around the settings so much just to get the thing working. It's fun though.
