The GSM vs CDMA thread was particularly interesting. Have to give the first place debate win to CAINMARKO though. He replied with the facts after being called out and all was heard after his post was....the chirping of crickets..and a lone ribit from Las Vegas.......

It's time for me to renew. I know one is a tri-mode and one is not. I realize nothing last forever. This two phones both are highly rated. I'm currently using a Motorola v120e. Want a phone with the least amount of trouble.

I have had enormous issues with my antenna outputs on my 8600 phone. From what I can grasp from this site the Audiovox 8600 is horrible and I need to find another one.

What would anyone recommend?

DOES ANYONE use external antenna's and amps vehicles and buildings and what is your review of antenna's/Amps and how they have work for you?

I just picked up a new VX-6100 through NE2 and am pretty happy with it thus far. Haven't made many calls, but l do like its features. I'm coming off a Motorola 7868, the standard I'm basing the 6100 on, plus the 6100 has a nice camera.

Anyway, I am really attracted to VZW's GetItNow driving directions apps, and was hoping they would be available for the 6100 by now, but I was proven wrong.
I emailed VZW about availability, and they said the apps were still being tested. Once testing proves ok, the phone will be added.

So, how long does it take apps on GetItNow to get approved for new phones, particularly the 6100?

Verizon Wireless, can you here me now???? I know Verizon is the best cellular company out there for alwayz getting connected but they are losing customers to the new revised Cingular and Nextels direct connect. They have so many customers but they don't care about us and giving us great phones like T- Mobile, Cingular and Nextel. I was with Verizon since it started but after the over-hyped v710, I left Verizon. They need to get in with the mix n get rid of brew, lower $'s and have a better relationship with Motorola and stop trying to dogg the market. I know everyone is trying to make money but come on, give us a break.
Ill go back to Verizon if they chill, get awesome phones ( audiovox, samsung, kyrosera.... retarted phones ) and get bett...

I just received in store a 12 page brochure of coverage maps that I can distribute to customers.

It goes into detail of upstate NY, southern New England, Vermont/NH/Maine, Washington D.C/Virginia/Baltimore, Philly tri-state, and New York Metro.

My god I don't understand why people complain about not getting coverage in these areas. These maps are so detailed that I can pick any city from the map and tell you if you have digital coverage or what have you. Especially upstate new york.

I recently had to exchange my 6000 and I can't remember how to set up the free wap. I am lost without it. I searched the forums and only found 1 about it and it didn't work.

Anyone use these?

Its been a long, long ride, a long long journey for all of us. All the bickering and fighting between both camps (Verizon and Sprint vs AWS/Cingular) has panned out to this. I told everyone a year ago, to sit back, relax and watch it happen. Now, Verizon's forum is getting the same abuse and hassle that the AWS/Cingular forums had back when Verizon dominated the market. I pulled back and just watched, shook my head, and quite often just laughed at the bickering and whining/fighting.
I think today is a great time to ask that people grow up, act mature and post civilized debates, enough of the 'CINGULAR SUCKS!!!' 'VERIZON SUCKS!!!' 'T-MOBILE SUCKS!!!' 'AWS SUCKS!!!'. Back up your claims with more then just localized CLAIMS (thats all they are...

What is Verizon's return policy? 15 or 30 days?

Why are most reps, both VZW and Cingular, inept to how their companies work. It seems like the majority of them are corporate drones fed w/ info to say,

I would have to say that there are 4 ultimate levels in the wireless industry, 4 being the big cheeses. You Cain are definately are on level 3. The majority of reps even ones whove been in the game for a ling time are still in level 1.

It is sad to say that being in the wireless industry for less than a year I am already on level 2, teetering on level 3.

Reading posts on this website provided me w/ motivation to post this. I don't post much anymore primarly because of the misinfo that goes on.
