Verizon and 7pm evenings???

I have been a long time verizon and have recently thought about switching to ATT because they offer more minutes for cheaper and their evenings start at 7pm, does anyone know when or if verizon will move their's down from 9pm. This is really a huge deal for me and I don't want to leave VZW but I may have to.

Thanks

Early Upgrade.

I know that this has been brought up several times before, but I don't quite have a clear answer.
I am currently 17 months into a 2 year contract and am looking for a way to get an early phone upgrade. I am willing to sign a new 2 year agreement and will also be upgrading my service contract to a plan valued at $59.99. My problem is that a NW Verizon Customer Service Rep is making it sound as if there is no such "Early Upgrade Program". I feel as if Im getting a general response from someone who may not be fully aware of the situation. Is this Early Upgrade Program a real policy? Or is it an "under the table", "talk to the right person" sort of thing.

Religion

I think we should take on another never ending, on going topic-religion.

We keep going on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on on and on about who's daddy can beat up their daddy. Just give it a rest and understand that somethings work better for s...

Airprime 3220

If anybody out there has a PC3220 aircard & a laptop running Win98SE, I can clue you in on how to get it running. I recently had an experience with this combination, and getting it to work was not pretty.

It works now, but it took nearly a solid week of fiddling before I managed to get it together.

Heres a question for you Verizon reps.

How close is Cingular's National plan (not gait) coverage to Verizon's Single Rate coverage?

Can anyone quote a percentage of coverage that is accurate?

I will post this over at Cingular as well. It should be interestin to see where the coverages are in terms of area and metro.

Nextell's number guard- gaaay

Why does Nextell put number guards on their phones? they're so extremely desperate to keep their customers that they put a block on numbers so that they cant port-out.

7 line port-in from Nextell. 3 lines with number guard. won't stop me though, just a little more leg work. 👿

damn nextell

some real talk for ya'll

Gsm is good, but not great. Neither is CDMA for that matter. The bottom line is that Verizon has done a better job of pounding it into consumers heads that their network is the best. I apologize that the marketing teams at other carriers are unable to do this. Tmobile's marketing strategy concerns get more minutes, features, dropped calls, and refurbed phones. Cingular fits you bets moreso because of all the plans and features. But only one carrier delivers where it matter most, completing and holding onto a call more often than not.

VZW has already started offering more minutes with the IN Network calling, which was a huge success. I"m sure there is something else up their sleeve.

I think the consensus in some of these forums is that...

Call Failed ¿?¿?

What does it mean when you try to place a call and your phone beeps and says call failed? I mean, I know what that means, but why does this happen? Is it because I'm trying to place a call while someone is trying to call me? Is it because the cell site does'nt receive my signal? Is my phone going bad? (this has been happening more frequently, at least twice a week) or is it just a Motorola T730 issue/bug? Help!

NE2 Question

Here is my scenario. I currently have two phones with two separate plans. Both phones are due for the NE2 in October. What I would like to do is put both phones on a family plan when I upgrade the phones. My question is if I put the second line on the family plan is it still eligible for the $100 credit toward a new phone even though it no longer has its own separate contract?

Please, what is your final answer?

As you already know I'm a Vrz customer, I'm disappointed with Verizon's in-network plan, and their "no on time releases of new phones. I have their LG VX-6000 which most of the time is a great phone(great photos).
But I like the idea of cingulars m2m better and it makes more sense. A friend of mine is on Attws, and he uses Moto V600, which he thinks is great. I'm tired of waiting for the LG VX 8000.
Vrz never told me that if I needed to change plans for more or less mintues a month that it extendes my contract, and I would lose my promotional parts. What is up with that? Does that happen with the other carriers too? I know this suppose to be an Vrz forum, but people from other carriers are on here most of the time.
Thanks in ad...

Really Really Really Really Really Really Wrong Info

I would like some quotes that actuall people have said to help other people out. These have to be non sarcastic, actuall statements made that the person who said something really truly means, feels, or knows that it's true.

Here's a quote from thatguy_overthere

"What is a joke about VZ's new every two program is that it is $100 off of that retail price."

The latest on 3G... you KNEW it would happen!

To give customers faster data speeds and more options in data services, Cingular has accelerated its deployment of EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) high-speed data technology. At the end of the second quarter, the company had covered two-thirds of its network and expects to have substantially all of its markets enabled by the end of the third quarter. Cingular was the first carrier in the world to launch EDGE when it activated EDGE service in Indianapolis in July 2003. EDGE allows for data rates up to 170 Kbps with average speeds ranging between 90-135 Kbps.

and:

In May, Cingular announced plans for a third-generation (3G) UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) network trial to be deployed in the Atlanta marke...

This is how i Chose

You know why i like Cingular. See, Verizon sponsors the NBA. Which is pretty good. But i Live in NC and its all about College basketball here. And Cingular sponsor NCAA basketball. I mean, there it is. That is why i like Cingular. You know its sad, because i really do think those kind of marketing plans really do make a difference in peoples subconcience(I hope i spelled that right. i am serious, simple things like the color orange, or a little slogan, really do make some people prefer a company in the back of their mind. I have even heard that you shouldnt name anything with a V(Verizon) because it makes people think of Vagina. I dont know, or really think that it is all that serious, but i am just trying to get a point across. that some p...
