LG VX-4500 + Mobil Web + Office Connect Cable

I just bought the LG VX-4500, I have to say I like this phone already because of the speakerphone feature.

Anyhow....I added mobile web feature and bought the office connection kit while I was there.

If I want to connect my laptop to it to surf the internet while I am around and about, do I really have to pay for the mobile web feature?

Also, anyone done this and can show me how to browse the internet w/o paying for the express network 79.99 program using this feature on my laptop? I don't mind it being a bit slow.

Last Question: It uses the anytime / weekend / night time minutes right? Do they cound by KB / MB transfer too?

Thx!

Connected, full strength, no sound

Increasingly, have noticed that Verizon calls will connect (full strength signal) but that there is complete silence after connection is complete (I can't hear other caller, and they can't hear me). Various locations. Also notice more calls dropping with full strength signal. My phone is V60. Other Verizon users are having this intermittent problem, too, with other phones. Had similar problem years ago w/T-Mobile and they said it was tech problems at local cell. They fixed it. Verizon Tech Support has no idea what's going on, or won't say--way underpowered. Always tell me something different, and solution is always extend contract 2 years and we'll give you a new phone. Not sure I want new phone if it won't make any difference and th...

AP: Man angry at Verizon hurls phones

Check out this story that just hit the wire:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/Central/05/14/store.rampa ... ยป

Okay... so this guy "took off his shirt and put on safety glasses before throwing around computers, phones and other items." ๐Ÿ˜ณ And then he tried to tell a reporter that "he planned only to yell at employees at Verizon Wireless". ๐Ÿ™„ Yeah, right, buddy. He brought safety glasses with him, for Christ's sake!

Anyway, I know people get angry at their cell phone carrier, but store employees can't magically build more towers for you, and violence is never the answer. โ˜น๏ธ

Nokia 6255i for VZW?

Can anyone confirm if this phone is going to be a VZW phone?
It has similar features to the v710, but to me, it's better looking than the v710. If it was coming out before the turn of the next century, I might wait for this phone instead.
Thanks ๐Ÿ˜ณ

610 vs 8900

Any opinions???
I've looked at both phones & they seem to have a few more options than the LG6000.
Does any one know of any pros/cons???
Is there a way to DL free ring tones (or wallpaper) for either phone??
I think that I'm "leaning" towards getting the Samsung, but I'm just not sure... ๐Ÿ˜•
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Say what you will about GSM, CDMA is the best and it's all in this article!

Hi guys I got the link to this article from some guy here at phonescoop.com I thought I'd share it with you, I know it's long, I was written by one of the guys who helped invent CDMA, very interesting Enjoy!

Anxio!

P.S. I think it's funny when they talk about Europe going to CDMA after all, because this is the only thechnology that supports our needs...

Lg 4600 Sales rep I.D. number

As I posted, I have two new Lg4600 phones. One for me, one for my wife as a secondary line. I was able to finally get a sales rep (i.d. # TB310) who was able to send me the phones. The invoice for my phone lists the full retail price of $219.99, a unit price of $69.99 and a discount of $69.99 for a total price of $00.00 for my phone. Now I don't know if the sales rep put the order through as a "new every two" of what, but I do know that I did not pay anything for my phone, I paid $69.99 plus $8.99 for shipping for my wife's phone.
I placed the order on 04/27/04.
Don't know what to tell you if you can't get the phone or if you've been told that none have been sold or whatever. I have two.

keep trying. ๐Ÿ˜

LG VX4600

Well I hate to call you all liars as you may have found a good contact, but I have spent all morning with various people at verizon and the best they would do for me is give me a $50 credit on my bill to go buy the 4600 at another non- company store!! I doubt if they would do that if in fact they have sold the phone to others from their inventory!! Just doesn't make any sense to me. Buy the way the reason I say liars is they say they checked their system and have made "0" sales of this phone to current customers that are upgrading.

Nextel -> Verizon Phone Contact Sync Software?

Hello,

I recently convinced my father to sign-up with Verizon Wireless, and I am looking to see if there is any software out there to transfer the phonebook, and any other settings from an i95cl to a LG VX4400b.

I have already looked into:
SnapSync
Intellisync
and DataPilot

with no avail.

I know this may be falling on deaf ears here in the Verizon forum, but any help or tips are appreciated.

Regards,

Brian

? about contract renewal w/ Verizon

My contract with Verizon ends on May 16th. Does Verizon generally offer great deals on phones for me to re-up my contract? Or could I receive additional minutes for the same price that I am paying now?

TO VZW OR NOT

hello everyone... i could use alittle of your expertise here... we live in northwest louisiana and my contract with at&t expires in just about a week. My wife and I were thinking about signing on with vzw but because of the "sparse" looking coverage by the company in our state, we're not sure this would be a good move..just wondering if anyone out there could give us a clue as to how good the vzw coverage is, not only in louisiana but around the country as well... if we go with vzw, we would more than likely get a couple of tri mode phones, most likely the lg 4400b phones. We would appreciate any insight anyone out there could lend... If we don't go verizon, we may end up going with cingular... Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in advance!
