GSM coverage

Is GSM coverage as good as the maps make it look or is there still a lot of feedback about poor coverage areas?

It depends on where you are. The map is a general representation of coverage only. It does not mean you are going to find a signal in every location.

For me in Sacramento service is excellent. Especially since it seems the 850mhz was turned on the past couple of weeks.

🙂 i have an att phn and i have been the gsm network since 2003 and i love gsm, so far i had 3 gsm phns. i owned nokia 7210 ( great phn), nokia 3200 ( not so good shame on nokia) and samsung E 316,( i love this phn) and I live in two different states NY and FL and i never had problems with my service. I never had problems with TDMA either. GSM rules and so does AT&T
