Sony Ericsson Z500 coming soon

It looks the Sony Ericsson Z500 will be coming soon to AT&T (or Cingular). The phone is listed on the new rebate form http://rebates.att.young-america.com/PDFs/496 1-101-32-2.pdf
Check out this phone here at phonescoop, it looks to offer a lot of what's been missing in the phone line-up for a while, video recording, EDGE, dual color displays, and streaming multimedia, all in a nice small flip. If anyone has more info on this model, please post what you know. Thanks

And don't forget the CSTN display. I don't know about anyone else but STN screens always looked faded and washed out to me. Anyone else have an opinion on that?

i dont know, but all i do know is that i do not like SE phones much after my experience w/ my T68i, even though it was 1900mhz only, i suppose i should give them another chance w/ a phone that supports 850mhz also but hey, i am in love w/ samsung

I agree, Samsung makes a great phone. I had some trouble in the past with a Sony Ericcson 616, but with advances in technology and this being a higher end, flip model from them, i'm willing to give it a try, if it's released anytime soon.

We have a lot of problems with the X426 working properly on 850 mhz. I do love the functionality of the E316, other than that I can't turn off the camera sound when taking pic's. I have had no problems with my SE T68i but had heard there were some with problems. Any idea on what the problems were?

the problems were reception issues because the T68i only supports 1900mhz for america, the cam sound is built into all newer samsung cam phones and the only way to remove it is by altering the firmware, the X426 seems to be getting a lot of hit or miss responses

i agree i had the t68i and given that i was not pleased with the service on the phone it was still fairly advance for its time.... if it would have been an 850mhz phone then it would have been better.... 😉

Ohhh. you should have held onto it. AWS replaced those free of charge. Hand in your T68i and AWS gives you a 226 (i think but i'm not 100% sure if that was the replacement model)

i got the T226 but i cancelled service after they mailed it, the T226 is not a "better" phone, it loses a lot of the features that the T68i had just for 850mhz
