Another Long Time ATTWS Customer Jumps Ship!

Had TDMA service with ATTWS dropped every call (Pittsburgh, PA area). Switched to Verizon (Moto V710) on 9/21, ATTWS sends me a mailing asking me to come back. Call the number to see what kind of deal I could get (9/27). Checked into some of the phones available at ATTWS (GSM), called back today only to find out the deal that was offered to me on 9/27 was no longer valid. Why didn't the ATTWS Rep tell me that the promo was ending this week? She was supposed to give me a call back on 9/28 after I had a chance to check out the phones and never did. It's really too bad, I've been a loyal ATTWS customer for 8 years and got my parents and brother to sign up with ATTWS over a year ago.
So far very happy with my Verizon service, the Moto V71...

seriously... boohoo... what, you want us to cry because you left? i'm not a bad rep (i don't think so anyway), i do like helping customers in any way i can... but when they say they're going to leave what am i supposed to do? beg for them to stay? nuh uh! buh bye!

I tell the customer after they call in to say they cancel becausethey couldn't get exactly what they want,when they say "I'm a loyal customer and you won't help me, and you see the notes the reps offered almost everything under the sunand they "You wont give a free phone unless i renew, why should I?"

And you just wanna ask "does your cable company give you a free televison" or does your loyal gas station give you a free car every year,and even when you offer a free phone, they say whats the retail value-only 139.99?,no give me a free phone worth more"

But how can they share horror stories without the perception of it being sour grapes?

Yeah, there's a certain amount of finger flipping in his post, but I can't think of a company that deserves it more than ATTWS. Which is really really unfortunate because they could be such a market shaker.

I switched to Verizon a few months ago, but went back to ATTWS for a GoPhone for my wife and a prepaid phone for my kid (ATTWS gave me _both_ phones). I was impressed with the level of service until I had to deal with their customer service. Then I remembered why I switched.

Their customer service reps try _so_ hard, but they are bound by what has to be the absolutely worst CRM software. If you try to avoid having to call into customer suppo...

It is very possible to share horror stories without giving off the impression of "Rubbing it in" sort to say... I see many posts on here that are capable of doing just that... They share their experiences and even give off their opinion... But posts like this one that have no real purpose but to give this individual a sense that he has backlashed at the conglomorate are not necessary...

The guy from the first thread says he's a loyal customer of ATTWS and wants a good deal? ummmmmm dude, you LEFT THE COMPANY FOR VERIZON WITHOUT TRYING OUT THEIR GSM PRODUCT. 🙄 now you want to claim loyalty when they didn't give you an expired deal? phhht! get real.
