🤣 One of my fellow employees received a baloon filled with helium as a prize for initiating a PIR(positive initial response) while being monitored by the quality control team.

Buddy for a joke sucks back all the helium just as he was about to take a call; ** thank you for holding this is ____ how can I help you **,

BEHOLD: the director of the whole call center and his man higher up who was visiting saw the whole thing. The director walks right in front of the guy and points: "your fired"

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Too funny to be true but it could happen.

Anyways, which call center are you talking about?

Also, did the person who said "you are fired!" did he do it with a Trump demeanor style similar to the apprentice?

that rep should have been fired. no questions asked. you dont use helium and answer the friggin phone. what if a telecom manager was calling in with a problem he had with a store and that was the final straw and dropped 300 lines. the rep was wrong not the manager

I wouldn't have, because if corporate managers didn't have their heads up each other's a$$ so far, that when they smiled you saw two people, employees wouldn't have so much disregard for management. Laughter is the best medicine...some P&P homo OM aint takin' that from me.

oh I disagree with a TON of decisions like monitoring only 6 calls a month. WOW ive had so far 130 last two days and still got 3 hours to go today. 6 calls a month ya thats a REAL good gauge of how calls are being handled. what a friggin joke. but taking a call while on helium he did it to himself.

Ya I agree that he was an idiot, but if I was the manager, I would'nt have fired him...a little slap on the hand would do the job.

It is true that playing while working is a merit to be terminated but also management has to have a professional style to do it.

I think this superior lost it and acted at a low level and non professional.

At the center where I am (LA) you simple receive a call from a supervisor asking you to log out and go to his/her cubicle to discuss some matters. While the rep goes to meet with such supervisor, other 2 supervisors approach your cubicle with a white box and place anything that seems to be your personal belongings. Anything that appears to be relevant to the company such as notes of accounts etc. are placed in the shredder bin. By the time the rep is notified of his/her immediate termination he is immediately escort to the main door ...

My personal opinion has always been that when someone is terminated they should have the option of walking out peacefully before being escorted out. I know that if I was fired I wouldn't make a fuss. The chances of me making a scene would increase if I'm being escorted out. My attitude would be I'm leaving, but don't bother me because you are no longer my employer and therefore have no authority over me. Yes, my job is extremely important to me but I know from experience getting upset about a bad thing doesn't make it any better.

Ya but you have to remember about all those people that would make a fuss when they were told to leave. Unfortunatly somepeople have to be watched. I'm sure was have all heard people tell us what they would do on there last day. I am sure that 95% of the employees would not make a fuss but a company cannot make one policy for you and another policy for another guy who would be a prick.

I fully understand that and I don't expect them to say leave and then walk away but I think it would be sufficient to say could you please leave and then just stay close to the employee to ensure that they do leave peaceful. If I wanted to make a scene having an escort wouldn't stop me.

now, while this is "unprofessional", it sounds like the call center director needs to remove the large corn cob from their rear. 🙄

I don't think so, I'd sure fire someone being an idiot and making me look like I have no control over my call center in front of my area manager in a jiffy.

They'd be on the sidewalk before they could blink twice.

I think perhaps a ha-ha-we-need-to-talk-in-my-office-about-a-yo u-are-in-wicked-trouble-my-friend would be appropriate... sort of yeah that was funny, do it again and get fired kinda thing... this is probably why I am not in management though, I just don't like being an authority figure.
