Ok, I am jumping ship from the Cingular forum. I welcome all of you ATT brethren and am excited about the merger. Simple question......What exactly is the charter plan? I gather it has to do with with when you launched GSM? What is its cost and how many minutes did it include? Thanks.

39.99 had 1000 anytime no N&W
59.99 had 1500 anytime no N&W
99.99 had unlimited minutes

it was originally setup to last the life of your contract then 39.99 reverts to 500/59.99 to 750/99.99 to 1500. But for obvious reasons customers would forget and get massive bills so those promotions were extended for as long as they are ont hat plan regardless of contract end date. although the mr. incorrect agent debit will say otherwise

Rodedog,

$99.99 for umlimited minutes?!? Very nice. Why would you want to leave that plan anyway? Could you family talk the unlimited plan? I wonder if Nextel is still offering their unlimited minuted for $99.99? Thanks for the info.

😈 😈

You just told the biggest LIE YET!!!!! 😲 😲

the charter plans are specifically only att network only, if the pohne is on ANY OTHER CARRIER'S NETWORK other then att's then the customer is billed for off network roaming and off network roaming long distance.

The plan for the charter was based on the att network coverage at the time of the activation and gives you nationwide roaming on the ATT network only!!!

again I back myself up with links and facts

very few markets actually include some cingular enhancements. like if your in the middle of sacramento on a charter plan and it picks up by cingular you are ok. you cant pickup cingular only areas but with the "best-in-class" enhancements some areas have cingular roaming included. if you refer to the charter maps they havent been updated since like 9/03. the link below was updated last month. some areas thats why I said few.

---------------------
All customers with any of the following rate plans listed below will only benefit from the GSM enhancement if the new coverage area falls within the AT&T Wireless national footprint. (not on the network just within our footprint)

You know what is amazing- your lies 🙄

Y0u say i am right ,and here is my link-

Knowing full well you are on a intranet service and unless you are on a att terminal can't see your load of crap.

Iam just so glad that the direct att reps like you willbe gone soon.Maybe you could join with the new att-sprint deal and screw them over while you are at it

The go phones Were NEVER covered under them it was ALWAYS A NATIONAL NETWORK PLAN, SO IS THE CHARTER PLAN, THATS WHY PLANS WERE ALTETRED AFTER THE ROAMING AGREEMENTS BACK IN APR,2004, THE CHARTER AND THE GO POHNES ARE LOCKED INTO THE COVERAGE THEY WERE OFFERED AT TIME OF ACTIVATION

YOU KNOW YOU ARE THE REASON FOR AT LEAST 1/2 OF MY CALLS,I GET CUSTOMERS SPOUTING THE GARBAGE Y...

if you cant see my link goto search in ccnet. type in "charter roaming" and click on the 7th item that comes up.it is called

HCA Roaming Enhancements (formerly Best In Class) to Home Calling Areas (Roam/LD)

happy reading

backup your info and explain my link. you cant because im right. you are "saying" one thing im "showing" something. each time I post links and you dance around the statements. explain my link if you are correct. go ahead try. the attws footprint doesnt mean on network it means our area. like our footprint covers NYC so being in NYC means youre in our footprint. which means you are covered due to "best in class" enhancements.

quit "saying" im wrong and try to "prove" it.

No body is. Primus sucks monkey nuts. CCNET always helped me find what I needed....why take it away and give us something that takes twice as long and makes mistakes? AWS will win Nobel prize for dumbest idea of the year and I'm sure customers how much longer it will take us to help them. 🙄

You see thi s the problem here agent debit you are not a direct aws rep so you have no idea what is actually being offered. If you yourself can back up your claims by actual facts like either going to www.attwireless.com or pulling info off aws intranet keep your canadian pie hole shut!

and then on the maps section click on North east. It clearly shows SC as covered (NOT ROAMING AREA) but as i'm sure everyone knows AWS does not have AWS towers in SC.

No if you go back and read his post, he said he can roam on the cingular network as well as att and not be charged for roam fees on the charter 99.99 plan, which is false it is strictly no roaming on the ATT network only,ANY other network other then ATT is off network roam fees
