When might be the "official" word?
There has been a lot of talk about the takeover by Cingular, and does anyone know when we might hear the "official" word come from the Justice Dept. and FCC? From what wirelessweek posted late last week, there might be some kind of approval coming any day now to sometime next week.
Any other opinions and news on this since we're so close to a decision?

By the end of October is my guess.
3 of the 5 members of the FCC have unofficially given their approval, according to a news report last week. There was no word on the other two members.
It's only a matter of time.

Seriously, I totally agree the merger is a significant event, but it gets tiresome when every second post is asking "when will it happen?" and speculation, and having to hear it at work and from customers, getting so sick and tired of hearing about speculation. 🙄

I hate it too! it's hard enough keeping up with things as it is, but now i've gotta be retrained =o/ Yeah, I probably need it, but I can still complain about it.

in all honesty who cares as long as we still have jobs, does it really matter? I mean we still have jobs we still work with cellphones if you ask me nothing is changing.
