๐Ÿ˜ YES, you do get Rollover if you are on Att wireless. BUT, you need to have a $39.99 plan or high to get Rollover minutes that last for 12 months. And, you will need to get a new Cingular GSM phone! ๐Ÿ˜ข

Here is the link with more info to confirm this:

Do you know if they will give good deals on the phones? I have a family share plan at 59.99 a month with two other phones. I would hate to have to buy three phones at full price.

Same deals as if you're walking off the streets getting a new account. Some phone'll be free with a 2-year commit, some won't.

According to that link, it says to check back after November 10th. So I'm assuming that customer's will have to wait until then to take advantage of the new plans and benefits?

(I'm sorry for asking, our call center has had absolutely no Cingular training on this as of yet.)

Thanks for not yelling. =)

That is a safe date, in case we don't meet the expected Nov. 1st deadline... Needless to say the announcement will most likely show up on this forum before anywhere else.

November 15 is the scheduled Day One when the 2 companies should be able to act as one.

According to training: if an ATT customer wants a Cingular feature, promotion or rate plan such as "rollover minutes" then the customer must be migrated from the ATT billing system to Cingulars and requires a compatible GMS phone.

According to training: we, customer care representatives will be doing the migration.

As far as discounts on phones the tenure of the customer will be obsolete as everyone will be treated the same. Will this work? I don't know until I see the phone prices.

Does "a compatible GSM phone" mean a Cingular GSM phone, or just GSM? In other words, can we use out ATT GSM phones?

NO. You may not use your AWS GSM phone. As of now you have to change to a GSM 64k SIM phone. Now we have been told this is not written in stone so it may be changed but for right now everything says yes you have to change your phone. Personaly i don't think this will change but who am i to make that guess?

You will not be able to use your ATT GSM phone on a Cingular rate plan.

BUT, you can keep your ATT GSM phone and ATT GSM rate plan. You do not have to make the switch to a new Cingular plan if you choose not to, but if you do, a new phone will be required.

Sounds about the same as what we were told last week.

However, our trainers seemed to think that something will be in place to recognize the customer's tenure with AWS in save situations. Nothing concrete, just a guess on their part. I can't see them having nothing to offer as an extra incentive. Afterall, they just gained the customer, they don't want to lose them.

We shall soon see...
