Farewell to a friend.
Hello all. So it is reality. I have been involved in the Dealer side of ATTWS going back to the MaCaw Cell One days. Just thought I would rant a little and be nostalgic for a moment or two. best of luck to all of you involved in the acquisition/merger. Please feel free to add something to the list below. Maybe a top list of sorts.
I remember....
1. landline charges of 6 cents a minute
2. When night and weekend minutes were not seperate buckets and had to be used 1st.
3. When a phone would work on either Carrier, wireline or nonwireline.
4.phones that didn't have caller id
5. The Mitusbishi pocketnet phone, if you dont know this one, dont even ask, lol
6. When Ericsson was partnered with GE for handsets. The GE Ericsson CT-4...

I remember making fun of not so logical or smart customers while on mute.
I remember happily playing solitaire as customers were yelling none stop for 10+ minutes.
I remember really feeling bad for some customers who accually were screwed over by the company and I knew it, but was still powerless to help them.
I remember when customers screwed themselves over and would take it to the FCC and to court and tell everyone how AT&T was stealing their money.
I remember when we used to get paid 3.00 per PCO and I had an extra 500.00+ dollars on my pay stub.
oh good days.
