At&t has been giving me problems non stop. Currently I have a Lg L1150 and the battery does not last a full day with about 10 minutes maximum use, and I do not play games or mess with the camera. I have been to the 2nd At&t store here in my side of town (las vegas) and they have rejected me for all my problems and i have been with them for 4 years! They constantly mess up my bill and give me defected phones such as no simcard with the phone, defected battery, defected phone, and crappy service! What can i do to fix my battery issue? I have wireless phone insurance and warrenty. The warrenty covers the battery but the guy refused to replace mine. I am tired of att's crap? Can i move to cingular now? or do i have to wait till day one (novembe...

I didn't know the battery was covered by the warranty...huh.
You can move to cingular now, But I'd reccommend waiting until day one when we get the awesome phones of awesome and the awesome rate plans.

Agreed, I know how frusterating it is and I know you're at your wits end but like you said... You've been with ATTWS for 4 years, if you can hold out another 6-7 days it will be well worth it.

But remember you will be signing a new contract with the cingular plan, and remember cingular buyers remorse is 15 days, an extra 10 more days if its shipped to you, not saying thats a bad thing, i personally love it, but just make sure you are aware, thats all since the soon to be defunct AWS is 30 days on buyers remorse.

Yeahp... but the Buyer's Remorse starts on the day of activating the phone... not the day the phone is shipped out.

oh i know but the delivery is by fed ex so like 24- 48 hour delivery so not really a problem,
I love the migration process ESPECIALLY NO BILL TO AIR, customer to do migration has to pay by credit card or DEBIT credit card, that way customers can't complain bout the bill being too high cuz of cup orders. 😈 😈 😈

It's called Accesory Warranty Exchange all accesories are covered for a year, so if the phone isnt a year old then you will be able to do a warranty exchange on it. You WILL be required to send in original order invoice detailing the equipment though. If you don't have that then you'll need to buy a brand new one which you can do at

Agent debit you are wrong about the buyers remorse policy...it has/is changing to 30 days. I thought you said you went through the merger training?!?!?!Also AWS is not really going away either. After 6 months Att landline WILL start offering wireless service again as Att Wirless(although they will be using sprint as their "outsourced" company. Talk about confusion!)

Yea go to Tmobile and get their 1000 anytime minutes. Thats ALL that you get is 1000 minutes, no night and weekends, no m2m....no nothing just a straight 1000....my question is what is great about that friggin plan anyways? You can use that up in a day if you really wanted 24hours time 60mins an hour. Where is te benefit?

Well we have that same plan, except it has rollover...but I personally don't see what's so great about the plan....Our Nation GSM plans are much better...

Anyway, to the rest, T-Mobile has to offer more minutes and so called "cool" phones, good CS, because their coverage sucks and their network sucks. I have AWE and their service here is FAR superior than T-Mobile. In case you were all wondering, I live in Seattle. AWE has had their big share of issues which has obviously hurt them. Their network has much improved. Things are going to be even better when Cingular/AWE finish merging all assets. T-Mobile will be a secondary national carrier like Nextel. In other words, T-Mobile like Nextel are a very small fish in a very big pond. That's just a fact of life.

T-mobile is a joke... There phones are no longer better the lineup we're coming out with will crush t-mob, and their network is basically Cingular's network... Why go through a middle man to use our network when you can deal direct?

👿 HOLD-UP! T-Mobile is WAYYY Better that AT&T Wireless!!! AT&T reps. doesn't even know what services they are offering. I called before to ask about their EDGE service and a rep said "What EDGE service, what is EDGE, and what does it stand for?, We only offer GPRS"

Actaully I am an att wireless rep and you know I have yet to have a single problem, with of all the phones an LG 1150....I can use the phone in the basement of my house!So yes I will defend this company to the death. go back to your tmobile forum and whine about aws coverage there

😎 The problem with them is that I think that AT&T wireless is not a good company. Maybe once Cingular takes over then maybe the network will improve. I have a friend that has AT&T wireless, and all the time bad coverage, and it always says "Network Failure". We could be in the middle of a conversation and we get cut off. On my phone ist would say "Network Failure" and his name.

Have you ever called in to have your issue troubleshot? TO see whether or not it could either be 1.device issue, 2.sim card issue or 3. a network issue?????

T-mobile rents their gsm network coverage from cingular,so once they get untangled from that agreement, chek the FCC website,then you'll notice a drop in gsm signal with T-mobile

I have the same phone. I know from personal experience that the battery doesnt last all that long. However I have found that id you have a leather case on the phn the inside screen stays lit which does drain the battery very quickly. I am sorry to hear about all the problems that you have been having with aws service, however if you are wanting to chnage to cinglar it would be more beneficial to wait until 11/15 when we will have some nice phones that you can only get at that time from any wireless provider. ALthough back to the case thing....if you have one on the phone I would seriously suggest removing it for a couple of days just to see if the battery life is extended at all. 🙂

As far as I know, warranty covers the phone, but if you are replacing the battery, you need to process a warranty exchange for the battery as an accessory. If the phone is under warranty, insurance won't touch the claim, however if you were to say *lose* the phone then insurance would replace it with a refurb phone of the same model or one of equal value.

AWS stores don't do care so you have to call care to do a Warranty or an insurance replacement

WEX only does phones. They would contact Accessory Warranty... 866-837-7289 or DMDR for advanced accessory exchange 866-Reachout ( 866-732-2468 ).
Of course, there is always the option of contacting the manufacturer because after all, it is their warranty of the device.
