Become cingular...maybe a few will close i suppose..but I seriously doubt it, since they will still have coverage there.

It depends on the saturation rate.

I know that in the city where I live, there is and ATTWS store about a half mile away from a Cingular store (direct dlrs, of course). My thinking is that if there are too many direct stores in one area that they may close some... likely transferring staff to cover the remaining stores. 🙂

Theory as to what will happen is this....Aws stores will more than likely remain open for a few months so that everything can be sorted out. Cingular isn't going into to this thing headlong and just start hacking and slashing everything, thats not good business...Granted there may be "over saturation" of stores in some areas and these stores will more than likely be closed, as obviously they are not needed. I would imagine that store reps will be given the opportunity to transfer else where ie other Cingular stores or inbound care. However I really do not see everything being flipped around in a week/months time. Cingular has use of the ATT Wireless name for 6 months......so its going to be a little while for aws branded equipment to be sold...
