Improved reception ?

Has anyone noticed any change in reception
since joining with ATT. I now use Verzion.
Also, I live in New York City area....
Thanks for any help.

the improved coverage will be noticed when using a cingular phone with the 64k sim.

Actually, the current SIM cards are 32k. Part of that is incidenals, such as your phonebook and subscriber information. The main gist of the SIM card memory is network. All carriers have a sort of preferred roaming list within the SIM. (That's the best way I can explain it without getting too technical.) Anyway, the preferred network of choice is of course, your provider. Say you're with AT&T; well, your phone will pick up off of AT&T before going to any other network. Then it goes down to the preferred roaming carrier (Cingular in this example), then down to Mom & Pop Wireless, the least preferrable roaming partner. This list of preferred c...

actually the 64k sim will work in an old cingular phone, however the performance will be the same as the 32k sim. in order to take advantage of the 64k sim you need a phone that is set up with the enhanced network selection (ENS) right now that includes the v3,v551,v220, 6230 and I think the 3120,and 6010 but I am not too sure about the last two. any new phone that is released will also be ens capable
