Att plans - For how long can I order them?

WantAttplan

Nov 19, 2004, 10:47 PM
Hi,
I am thinking about getting services from Att. Att is more attractive to me since they offer a North American package that makes calling from and to Canada part of the national coverage.

At the moment, I believe I am still able to order Att service plan... but for how long? How long will the www.attwireless.com website and pricing plan survive the merger with cingular? - The truth is that Cingular plans are not really what I am looking for, so should I lock myself with an Att contract before its too late?

Thanks

There is no way to tell when you will no longer be able to start service. We were informed that we will change plans for three months but if the phones all sell out you are SOL. There will come a time when you wont be able to get a phone. So I think you should see if you like any Cingular plans, if you still like the ATT plan then you should go with them. At one point you will not be able to change your plan so make sure you get on one that is going to suit your need. At this point they don't know if they will still be able to change features (eg North America Pkg), but for now you still have pretty free range. So if you want to jump on it I suggest you do so soon.

You can't buy a plan from the company that does not exist anymore-not yet anyway.Cingular owns it all, so you would need to start a cingular plan and cingular phone since they don't make or distribute the att brand anymore

they have former att customers on expired legacy plans but if you activate service or phone it must be cingular

Unless you want to wait till att wireless relaunches in 6 months working with Sprint.

I'm sure you could find a att phone but with the combined network you would need a 64k sim to enjoy the full benifits on cingular plan and phone

Go there and you will see if you go to buy a phone or a plan. Just saying what I see and what I can do.

And if you buy them, you'd be one of the dumbest mutha****** around.

Think about this, the company as it was don't exist anymore, so you gonna buy a phone and plan that are now consideredby some a collectors item, oh by the way... the reason that its still there on site is that they gotta sell what was already produced prior to "day 1' aka nov 5,2004 now with that being said you buy a phone today, you decide say 4 months down the road to change your plan, no plan to go to since comp. don't exist have to migrate to cingular, buy new phone-No tenure so no discount- new plan plus 18.00 discount action fee!!!

Sure go ahead, just don't bitch or complain when you have to do the migration or ask for a credit cuz you own fault!!!! 😈 :...

GOD shut up. None of that is true...At&T willcontinue to seel phone and plans for those phones, until all the stores and warehouses are depeleted of them...You don't have to migrate for possibly up to two years. 🙄

ARe you on crack or what? 😈

Don't have to migrate for 2 years, you full of it! They stopped production already - and if you actually listened to any training rather then just taking up space you would have heard that if a customer wants a new phone or plan push them to a cingular plan -what are you doing offering them a att phone that locks them into a contract just to do a new contract down them road and no discount- You the kind of rep customers bitch about

You are so concerned about the quality aspect that you're screwing them for down the road.

You say 2 years- try 6 months, thats the date they return all mention of att back to the parent group 🙄 🙄

Actually all ATTWS customers automatically recieve the discounts on upgrading phones....all ATTWS phones must however be rtrnd to the NDC after 12.31.04, but plans/service contracts will be honored

First of all you obviously did pay attention to training... but apparently did not LISTEN to what was being said... let me clear things up for you.

Yes, customers can still activate ATTWS phones and plans. Correct, we are no longer manufacturing the phones BUT we will deplete the stock that is already in place. Until there is no more stock there will be no more new ATTWS activations...

Second, full migration of the two companies WILL take about two years... The estimated time line is 700 days from day one... That means that on day 700 we expect to have everything cingular... So customers will be migrating the whole time...

The 6 month deadline you're talking about is returning the ATTWS name and assets back to ATT... Meaning we can...

First of all ATT does not own the billing system, ATLYS is owned by Convergys, they use it as part of the contract,However its been offered to cingular for free based on the contract signing of these 2 otherwise they will get charged up the ass to use it!!!

Secondly the logo is not being used except in store locations that have not been converted, as of nov 15,2004 look at all invoices generated the att logo, and name were removed,

Look at phones that were produced just prior to the "official" announcement" they had no brand name of ATT on them they were all non branded.

The 700 day is a deadline to have it all fully integrated based on the customers contracts that were 2 years at time of "Day 1" 700 days= 2 years, do you think it...

the 700 day deadline has nothing to do with customer's contracts!!! Before I continue arguing with you... are you blue or orange? Because you cannot be orange AND be so completely off target.

Why wouldn't an ATT phone work with a cingular plan? Isn't it just a matter of switching plans?

Really though... You have no clue what you're talking about... ATTWS plans and phones will continue to be sold and supporting depending on stock... and if they buy a phone and four months down the road decide to upgrade they just pay the $18 upgrade/migrate fee and can get the phone @ same discount as a new cust.

You have without a doubt not a damn clue about a job-Next you bring up your migration tool- Notice where it asks you to check eligiblity for migration- it determines things like discount.

So according to your logic i get the v-505 for free retail 319.99- so 4months later i want free phone thats offered to new customers for cingular- yeah 2 free phones in 4 months 🙄 - Yeah i think you better put the crack pipe down for a bit!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

POS-1 may say no discount but written policy for legacy ATTWS migrating get automatic discount regardless.....

Nov 23, 2004, 7:37 PM
That is actually true... You forgot though that we won't unlock the ATTWS phone... But yes... They can get a free phone w/ ATTWS.. 4 months later migrate and get the same discount as a new customer w/ cingular...

And I know enough about migrating... at least enough to handle the Migration Activation Errors queue...

You can get attws phones and plans as long as we have phones in stock. You will not be forced to migrate to a new cingular rate plan. If we forced current customer to change to a new cingular plan it would allow them the choice to end the service with out a ETF. So if you like the current attws phones and plans buy them up, I don't know how long the stock is going to last so I would make it soon. (One note on current attws phone the Moto v600 was pulled from the cingular line up due to a small problem with RF..but attws still sells this phone. So I would stay aways from buying it if you could) 😁

See thats the beautiful part, the contract states thats the whole "service" agreement, it states we won't drastically interupt your "service" NOTICE THERE IS NO MENTION IN THAT CONTRACT OVER A FREE OR DISCOUNT OR REPLACEMENT PHONE ANYWHERE!!!

Sure you can have your service but you don't get insurance or your phone breaks, thats solely on the customer part since we only provide the service as a "courtesy" not a guarentee-So sure your phone is broke but the service is there.

Thats why even you signed up based on the goodwill gesture of the "customer first program" it was not even in the contract just a offer being made but nowhere in the contract specifically mentioned or even hinted at. 😈 😈
