A letter is usually mailed out to the customers of the old provider (in this case AWS), or it may possibly appear as a message on your monthly invoice.
Now, what this means in regards to porting your numbers, I don't know. You may be able to cancel the service w/o and ETF, but you may not be able to port the numbers.
Just be patient and stay tuned. Nothing is happening until the deal officially closes.
Example: on the 15th, my wife's regular OKC account was eligible for migration. Three days later it was not because it had finally been put into the system.
For those that slipped thru, Cingular could face large fines from the FCC for allowing those accounts to migrate.
