ok now this may be a new idea for all "ya'all" "brilliant" people out in cell phone land...but i have an idea. since everyone seems to want a free phone just cause the sky is blue and they happen to have phone service...(a whole new can of worms there but thats another rant) for every person who wants a free phone we will send you a free d45-shocker! now what is this phone you ask? well ill tell you. its a flip phone....that has a camera...(cause all phones gotta have the camera! 🙄 ) all your favirote features and most important a 4500 volt shock device hooked to the earpiece! everytime you call into customer care with a *cough* brilliant question or demands, the rep has the right and the button to send a nice little shock to your pho...

Just another stupid feature on a cell phone. What happend to the day when a phone just made and recieved calls? Cameras, video players, games (ok games are cool), but the rest is stupid. Give me the free phone that make and recieves call and I'm good.
Some people need to get a different job. Never heard so much bitching from customer service people about customers. Don't like your job do something else.

That MY opinion, NOT yours.

hey i LOVE my job. i actually think there are some great people out thereand i enjoy helping them. its just the people who want everything for free, and the ones who contstantly call in on a daily basis with inane questions that make me "ranty" to those of you who want free phones every 4 months....when you buy cable/satalite tv do you get a free tv? no...when you buy car insurance do you get a free car? nope. what about your internet at home? free computer? wow siggn me up for THAT one! but sadly no. so why do you think that because you pay a monthy phone bill you should get a free phone? wireless phone companys are just like any other business. we have a product and we are trying to make money. and its not like your cell phone is the absol...

Why do you care? Do you loose money when a customer is taken care of? Do you loose money when they lock you in for 2 years on a contract? Those other examples you gave I can quit at anytime. If they gave those things away to customers they would lock us in contracts too.

Yes I know that and thanks for the info, but I just get upset when these people on here talk crap about us. "Us" meaning customers like me who sign a 2 year contract and get a free none bling bling phone and then reps saying we should have to buy them. That all customer are looking for something for nothing. They always complain about customers and there jobs. Well I'm sorry but it gets old... I would gladly pay one or two hundred dollars a phone if I could not sign a contract and quit when ever I wanted to. I don't think they do that but I am not sure on that. I pay 100$ a month for my service 2 years that is 2400 dollars. I don't think they are losing much for that free 139 dollar phone they gave me.

the carriers do that after the initial contracted period is up, certainly. Thing about this website is, we can't react to callers or customers when they start abusing us/our intelligence/our characters during our professional interaction with them so yeah there is gonna be a certain amount of pent up hostility that comes out here. As well I have seen posts by customers that are critical of customer care, and those posts are no more balanced or reasonable than the posts you are referring to.

You are correct, you should not have to put up with customers that are abusive. I know this is a place to vent pent up hostility from reps and customers alike. I have learned more about the wireless industry here the last 6 months then I ever did with 6 years of service. For that I am thankful. I have a question I can get the answer here, and that is nice. I just take it to personal sometimes. I have always had very good customer service in the past when calling 611, but this site just did something to me. Don't know anyway see yeah and good luck with the pissed of customers.

We're not ranking on them for, not knowing about the merger, its the fact they are getting mad because we didn't call each indivdual customer and let them know personally...How can you get mad at about a merger??
