Why don't you call Customer Care and tell them you need to activate a new sim card on the acct. See what they tell you when you read off the ICCID (sim card ID number).

It could be done if your phone was unlocked. Then you would have to go thru the hassle of att tech reporting the unlock code to cingular tech. So basically,it won't happen since neither give out unlock codes. I had this question last week 🙂

Rather than spark a debate between people who don't know what's going on and unleash speculation from people who have no clue what the systems will and will not allow, I merely suggest trying it to see what happens.
Since the close of the merger, countless numbers of people have given the same info re: orange sim + blue service/phone and the same reps give out the same info over and over and over... with some reps giving the same opposing information over and over. One way to end the questions would be for people to actually try it, see what happens and report back. Heck, we already know that an orange sim will work in a blue phone, if certain conditions exist.
